Welcome to Snype (beta), the fastest way to access your apps and contacts!
Using this app you can "snype" apps/contacts almost instantly, even if you have hundreds to sort through. Snype uses a unique dual-index system that allows instantly switching between "snyping" apps or contacts. Snype has been designed with speed in mind. All actions are quick to ensure you get to the app/contact you are looking for in the smallest amount of time possible.
If you can't remember the first letter in the name of an app/contact you can quickly find it using the search function at the top, which searches for a series of letters anywhere in the name of the app/contact.
Ways to use Snype:
• Add Snype to your home screen just like any other app.
or
• Access Snype from any app at any time by activating the side panels.
or
• Snype can replace Google Now (usually via swipe up from home button) on devices that support it.
The "side panel" mode allows instant access to all your apps and contacts no matter which app you are in.
(The persistent notification is to prevent Android from killing off the side panel service. If you don't want to see it you can go into your device Settings -> Apps -> Snype and untick "Show notifications")
Snype is not a home screen/launcher, which means you can continue to use your favourite home screen app alongside Snype. You will have the best of both worlds: a beautiful and uncluttered home screen and instant access to all your apps/contacts.
*The premium version allows complete customisation of the lists of apps and contacts, which also takes effect in the side panels. This customisation includes a grid mode, which means more apps/contacts can fit on the screen.
As this is a very new app (still in beta) I would very much appreciate an email if you find any bugs.
Explanation of permissions (yes, there are many, but they are all necessary)
• Directly call phone numbers - This is needed to enable calling a contact with one button press.
• Read contacts - This is needed to be able to access your contacts so you can "snype" them.
• Read/Write external storage - For caching purposes.
• Full network access - This is used for sending crash reports so bugs can be fixed.
• Google Play billing service - To allow upgrading to the premium version.
• Retrieve running apps - Needed to know which app is running for the blacklist feature.
• Run at startup - To allow starting of side panels after device boots (if they were previously on).
• Draw over other apps - Integral to the function of the side panels.
• Install shortcuts - Allows for the "Add shortcut to home screen" option.

Anyone who doesn't love this program is probably an idiot, in the clinical sense. It is the easiest, most user friendly, most aesthetically pleasing way to access apps and contacts that I have ever come across, and I've tried a lot of apps. The pro version was WELL worth the money. Good job! Thanks for being awesome.

I use at least 3 different launchers from time to time. Not all have am alpha sorted list.So I go to Snype knowing I can find what I want fast.

Great app, could use keyboard detection. the main interface is too wide and almost takes up the whole screen making it difficult to back out of. Also, the separation of apps in grid mode defeats the purpose of having a grid mode. The apps are still alphabetical, not in a grid.

Excellent app. The pop-up list takes up the whole screen and it is difficult to back out. It becomes non responsive with the dose function of marshmallow. Still the best app of its kind on the store.

Really excellent program. Works well and worth the money. Performance while having keyboard open automatically each time on device could use a little improvement (pre load it? ) but this is likely attributed to the keyboard I'm using. And this can be annoying if you're trying to multitask heavily. Otherwise this application will absolutely revolutionize the way you can use your phone, the free version will give you the chance to adore it, and the paid version lets you make it work for you! Needs a few more options which I will suggest to developer through their feedback form. Excellent work.

It is indeed a great way to organise everything in your android device. An indexed list of all the apps on the android makes it really easy to navigate. Its really fine app.

This app is replacing Quad launcher for me. Default Messaging app can't be found it says, though. Change color of border frame would be nice option.

I've been looking for this app for a long time. So far, it's almost perfect. Next I'd like to see support for icon packs and a manual cache refresh.

Overall snappy and quick launcher app. But it has its quirks: Sometimes for no reason the app list disappears, and have to reinstall the app. Having contact search disabled, through Privacy Guard I get notified of requested contact resource sometimes.
