Jayster for Android
Don't know about the others here, but I seem to have no problem using my Jayster. The app fires up easily and my favorite feature is definitely the active alarm. It definitely helps speed up the Find's Hot and Cold game when I hit "ALARM" and my Jayster starts beeping away. The nest feature seems cool, too, but I've only played with it in testing. (The day it saves me from leaving my phone somewhere, I'll definitely be back to let everyone know.) For now, nest and map are novelties that make the Jayster app fun to tinker with, but take a back seat to the app's/device's primary function - finding my darn keys.
Simple to use and it just works.
So the nest feature doesn't work at all. Tested and retested... Only thing I see is on my phone it says my Jayster is out of range...the actual Jayster doesn't alert me that I left my phone. It will do the hit/cold and sound the alarm when you press it. Even after the update January 8th still not working properly. Returning the product. Don't waste your money at this point. Hopefully future updates or hardware upgrades will resolve this as I love the idea. Too bad for now. As of Jan 18th, app crashes.
Every time I try to use the app on my phone it wants to re-connect again and again and again?!? I have done all the app updates and it still doesn't work for me. I have emailed the manufacturer-er of the useless plastic key-chain to ask why it's not working correctly or if I am doing something wrong (tho seems pretty simple), but I have not received a reply and that was over a month ago. I would like to send it back to the company and get my money back,. I would say don't buy it until it is working properly for all buyers. I installed the app on my Galaxy 4s which says is compatible for but so far only crashes and has never worked properly, avoid for now. Christine Larsen
The alarm works great. And the hot cold meter is cool but i can usually hear it which is great. This thing helps me get out of the house so much faster. I am always setting my keys in random places or they get covered up.
Very buggy app. UI doesn't fit correctly on my Nexus 4 (the scan and connect are cut off, only about 10% of it is viewable). Crashes frequently. Randomly disconnects from the device. Will sometimes go off even if i have both the Jayster and phone on me. When we get the notification that the Jayster is out of range, we should be able to click on the notification and it should bring up the app (or at least silence the alarm). At the moment clicking on the notification does nothing. A widget would be awesome too. The app is just as important as the device. As it is, this is pretty useless atm. I certainly can't count on it since it's not very reliable. And is very annoying when it goes off when it shouldn't have.
Thank God for no more "designated" placements for keys. This app helps me find them every single time with a fun "hot and cold" feature, and the Nest feature goes without saying is a life saver that didn't let me leave my $600 phone behind in the restaurant at the mercy of a good Samaritan.

I see that last comment is around one year old. Is the software being supported? Many crashes which are easily reproducible, assuming the developers are still interested in improving the product. Has a lot of potential but the application needs much work. Please advise if still supported; if so I can provide many scenarios which cause the application to fail.
