JAMBOX / ERA Companion

Thought this wouldn't connect with my phone and nearly gave up on it....until I read the instructions and figured out I wasn't properly pairing the device!!! Works like a charm.

After seeing one of my friends have one of these minijambox. I thought i need that. I was so drunk i couldnt remember what it was called. So i bought this minijambox and an offbrand one that was much cheaper. The offbrand one works fine and connects to bluetooth and plays anything on my sam galaxy s3. Minijambox. Will not pair. Works with my wifes ifon 4s fine. But 50$ more expensive than offbrand one should work on everything and wtf do i need an account to play music via . Deleted uninstalled. Returned

This app repeatedly tells me that I need to update the firmware for my device, however the updater does not allow me to. Your bluetooth will work fine without this app you don't need it. Or better yet do not get a Jawbone product at all as their website and customer service are equally useless.

Does not work for my note 4. I have read alot of the comments on here. And not once have i seen jawbone reply to this particular problem. I'm guessing that they have no intention on fixing the issue. This will be the last jawbone I purchase

Since I have upgraded my phone to the S5, all it does is crash on me no matter what I do. Also no one can hear me when talking on the Bluetooth headset.

This app causes my Galaxy Note 4 to run slow. Support from Jawbone is very poor - They have deliberately stopped allowing Jambox users to change voices - even though the advertising said the jambox would 'get better and better'. They obviously think this will encourage you to buy a new Jambox - It doesn't - I'll never buy anything Jawbone again unless they resume support of older equipment (let's face it, it's only a few year old and cost a fortune!)

This doesn't necessarily pertain to this app but to the Era by jawbone. I've had older versions of this unit and one great feature has been the talking caller ID. I've been notified that it has been removed, plus the caller ID already programmed in my headset cannot be changed or even removed! I feel like I've been cheated! What a way to do business! Why make the device less useful? Absolutely ridiculous!

Will not work with any headset but the latest one. I just bought a brand new era (to replace my original jawbone) but not the latest model and there is absolutely NO factory support. Will never buy anything from jawbone ever again. My advice is to buy another brand and DO NOT support this company.

Keeps saying I need to update my headset. I've done it and it keeps saying it. Sad to pay so much for this headset and can't use their app. Thank goodness the headset works without the app.

This app was pretty good when I used it on my S5 but with my LG it will only allow me to install the older version which is not that great called support they told me the issue is my device is be miss categorized would be great if Jawbone fixed this issue

For a Bluetooth headset with 2 processors and accelerometer to not work with the Nexus 7 (2012 or 2013)... NUTS!. OK I get the idea that I can't make calls but my Era doesn't work with Skype or Tango on the SG6 and won't load on the Nexus 7. If it has Microphone and speakers, (like the Nexus 7), then Bluetooth audio should be supported. You need the app on your phone, just hope Aliph decide to support tablets, too.

This app worked operated correctly on my wife's g3 but now it doesn't proceed after it tells me to pair on my g4. I can pair and play but the app doesn't work like it should.

Doesn't support their older devices all of a sudden....so now I'm stuck with the voice I loaded onto my jambox, and can't get firmware for my era headset to be able to use this app. Weak move jawbone you make great hardware but your product support just plain sucks

Used to work...now won't connect. Tells me to update. My Era is updated. The Update software is just as buggy..if it crashes during an update it may break your Jawbone. Used to be a good company

Keeps telling me that my headset needs a software update. It has blocked the advanced settings required to allow the companion to be turned on.

was working normally, on my old oneplus one, but after switching to a nexus 5x, it keeps prompting me to update my headset, but there is no other updates available for me era when i plug it into my PC

Tells me to update on the computer and enable advanced settings. There isn't a selection for that.

Just talked to a jawbone Rep on the phone, Jawbone App is broken and does not work. Can't update the firmware on my ERA headset. $129 headset acting like some China made thing I got from the discount bin at a flea market. Very sad

Everything is fine like the bluetooth connection is perfectly fine and sounds great. But theres gotta b more functions to the music player such as fast forwarding. Please make it more convenient.

App keeps telling me I my ERA is not connected. Bluetooth setting in the phone settings sees it and appropriately names it. It still answers calls and records voice messages. The "advanced settings" on the web site I'm supposed to use to link this headset with does not exist. C'mon guys, update your website and app together. Seems like you fired your QA people along the way or need to crack the whip on them. This app is useless and simply takes up 35MB (huge file to slow my phone down with thanks for that).

Stopped working because they stopped all support for older devices... So now I can't even go online to update settings. Could have left "legacy" but instead want us to buy new. NEVER AGAIN.

It doesn't even really go with the ERA. Sad that,with the new laws being pushed, what use to be one of the leading Bluetooth makers only have one poor BT option and an app that isn't even made for it.

I have owned every jawbone headset ever released and purchased several jamboxes. This app combined with the most unprofessional and poorly developed website has finally turned me away from jawbone. Fix your app and issue a statement appologizing for not explaining your new layout that no longer using the mytalk setup which left all of your customers in the dark. This company used to stand behind their products with excellent customer support. Seems they have sold out and are living on their brand name now.

Updater hard to find to download, then never installed. Tried multiple times to update the software to use the app with my mini jambox. Why wouldn't the device come with the proper software to begin with?

With the new updater, this stopped working at all. If it's not supported you should update this to reflect that.

Also was able to use the app before with my mini jambox, also now cannot connect despite multiple uninstalls/reinstalls of the app, installing new voice on jambox, multiple pairings of device with Bluetooth. Using Nexus 6

Worked great on my old htc m8 but now on my galaxy s6 it does not want to connect. So now unable to tell battery level on my phone and change settings

I have a Jawbone Era and this app. My device worked well in my old Note 3. I get the new Note 5 and got the app and the app keeps wanting me download an update to the device via the computer. Did that, but still, the app wants me to download an update to the device. I can pair it to the phone for phone calls without the app, but I really liked using the app on the phone. Contacted customer support and they told me it was a known issue. Known issue to me is code for IT DOESN'T WORK.

It used to connect. Now it keeps telling me "check if device is connected". Well ... Okit's connected and actually working but this app doesn't see it

As above, updated both J's and this rubbish app cannot connect to either of them but both work and play music just fine. Seems like the main focus of the developers is to snoop into your life ( obsene amount of permissions required ) and send you junk mail ( you need to log in every time you open the app so a valid email address is required ). As others have said, if 0 was available then this waste of space virus would have been rated 0 by me. To Jawbone: delete the source code and start again!

I've done all the pairing, downloading the "J" app. Changed the voice. Listed my callers. None of it works. When my phone rings; it answers automatically without telling me who it is. NONE OF IT WORKS WITH NOTE 4. What's the deal????

Why can't this work on tablets? You should be able to control all of the functions that you can from the web interface.

Wish I could ratw this no stars. Love the jawbone era but the app sucks!!! Went online signed up made the necessary updates as recommended by the app. Now the app keeps telling me it can't connect and the earpiece needs to be updated. Tried to unpair then re-pair but still nothing. Complete let down, got excited for nothing!!! Thanks for the wasted time...

I've done everything it's said and still says i need latest update. Can't find advanced settings on mytalk site or anywhere to enable companion

I have the Samsung galaxy note 4. I recently bought the new Era headset. I just downloaded the jawbone app. It keeps telling me to update my software which I know it's updated because that was the first thing I did since i have owned previous jawbone headsets. Not sure what the deal is but jawbone you need to fix it. one star until it gets fixed

It's an app that tells you there are updates and customizations, then instructs you to connect to the Jawbone website, which is a HUGE hassle involving downloading updater software, etc. Why not save us a step? This app has minimal usability.

Worked on HTC One M8 and was great. Won't work on Droid Turbo or Samsung Note 4. Says that Era needs firmware update, which it doesn't.

Horrible app.. Cant change settings. its says not connected.. Really? I'm playing music to it now.. Fix this, Jawbone!

I don't use this just on the basis that it tries to do too much, which results in far too many permissions than should be needed for an app made for my Bluetooth speaker.

I had a Galaxy s4 and it worked great, I Just switched to a Galaxy Note 4 Edge and it will not pair. (Unable to pair with era by jawbone Incorrect pin or password.
