WiFi SNR for Android
Best WiFi tool in my toolbox! Now - how about a PC version?
Fonts doesn't fit mobile phones. Overall useful.
WiFi SNR
Used it for a yr with my old phone. Upgraded router to ac and new phone w mm. No matter what I do. It shows horrible noise. It is also very hard to see it now on a nexus 6. If it were being supported. I would help Dev to work on it. But, appears abandoned now. Time to move. Shame, was a good app.
The app provides a dbm measurement enabling me to identify areas with weak wifi signal availability.
Have been using this for years and its still my favorite app. The plotter is overplotted and its a great visual that will drive an engineer crazy
On a modern phone everything is so small it's near useless
Not sure if SNR calculation/reporting is correct. If i sit close, but notto close to the router with no other 2.4ghz devices around the speed test shows around 100mbit/s which is about right. (Android wifi manager reports connection as "strong" and speed in the 100s). Signal is reported as around -50dBm but SNR is reported as between -5 to +15dBm which means I have a shocking connection and it should barely be connected... so it doesnt seem like SNR is correct? Is this a kown issue? I am using a Samsung S5
I used this app to see why my A radio wasn't working as well as my B radio. The SNR on A was bad compared to the B. I'll have to deploy another dual band WAP. Excellent app!
It does not give much informative about access point. It doesn't display ssid, channel, frequency used of Access point.
The app seems to operate as expected. However the value for 2.4G SNR drops to the same level as 2.4G Signal Strength. Is this meant to be the case?
But link speed graph is helpful. Sadly crashes when I click settings on Samsung Tab S 8.4 with Android 5.0.2. Report sent.
Wifi snr 2.5g ok but 5g snr=sig strength
The settings option is not showing up.
very good

Great app for testing wifi!

- Buggy .... with Moto X (1st and 2nd Gen), Moto G and Moto E ... tested on 4.4.2 and 4.4.4 - Usefulness is diminished by failures that cause the SNR to track the signal and/or spike between Signal and SNR (ie displays sawtooth/square wave display) - Developer has been un-responsive to multiple emails providing details of the problem.
Good job on the app, very easy to use. However im not confident on you SNR values, as it defers greatly from the value that my Macbook pro laptop gives out. What is the accuracy level for the SNR value?
Maybe the dev would be more responsive if we give him constructive criticism. I hope he has not abandoned it. I ran this app on identical tablets with ddwrt installed. Tracked signal in settings in ddwrt for noise. The app was right on the money. Why are people confused when the track turns green on noise? Stop misunderstanding and grow a brain. Please. Edit. *Got a email from dev. He plans on updating soon. Just busy w school. That is completely understandable. So heads up. Its not abandoned.
Very Helpful!!!

Works as expected, thank you.
This is not SNR or CNR. Displays the absolute power (correct or not). Great idea but would be nice if it actually was what it states. Keep working on it.
The App is very limited!
Great app!
App stops on S4,will not run.

No one can figure out what's going on with my wifi, not even my provider. Wifi signal became poor in November and now it's worse. Password was changed but that didn't help. Some of my devices lose the signal and it has to get turned back on using the password when they used to remember it and the signal is weak. My phone uses huge wifi data even when it's not connected. Test shows signal varying widely.
much better then a wifi analyzer app that just scans for wifis, like my Android can't already do that :p
Very helpful to diagnose wifi signal strength and effects of interference. However, the SNR value drops down to the wifi signal strength every few seconds on my home network, and this seems to be an inconsistent reading in the app rather than something that is actually happening to the signal.
I was interested in this app because it claims to show signal to noise ratio. However the figures it gives on my Samsung S4 seem very wrong. The value given for a certain 802.11a network hovered around -6 dB which would be appaling if true. A Fluke analyser gave a value of about +65 dB.
The app does not show signal to noise ratio. It also stops responding when I click on Settings in menu. It only shows link speed and actual signal strength.
Got app for snr. Clearly not accurate. Will delete. Galaxy s4

It does the right on z3compact Thanks
