KnockOn - Screen On / Off

This app basically displays a black wallpaper and on double tap with a lock sound. But the screen is nt off, it is just a black wallpaper is displayed to make the screen look as if it is really locked. This can't be identified when you are outdoor or under light, but try switching off the lights or in a dark room u can clearly observe da damn black wallpaper. It drains the battery. Fuc u app developers. FAKE!!

This app is probably great for tap-to-sleep, but with tap-to-wake the screen stays powered on and black until you tap. App notifications appear on screen when it's in this state. So, this thing will eat your battery up. Looks like the real solution is to root the phone and install a custom Android kernel.

Locks fine and does the purpose but not effective enough. Once you tap the screen to switch off, the screen simply turns on n shows the lockscreen every now and again without the mildest touch on the screen n as a result drains the battery. Need to improve on the wake up option to make this a good app.

People,beg u not to install its pathetic app.its some kind of a trap..it almost destroyed my brand new phone. it kind of hacked my phone for a moment.i wasnt able to do nething. even the touch didnt work..i cldnt even uninstall d app directly.. later i manage to kick out dis app from my phone. Beware guyz,ur phone is valuable

To the developer, I noticed after a few times the app will stop working. I will have to manually press the power button on my Note 5 to wake and press it again to sleep, then the app will work again. So some bug fix is required here

those people complaining about battery drain please read through the sentence again. it is meant for amoled display for double tap to wake because anoled doesnt consume power when the display is black..other than that it is a great apps but sometimes scrolling too fast might cause double tap to sleep

Installed the app on Pixel and it works with the fingerprint scanner.. My question is When I double tap to turn the screen off the screen goes black but the three buttons at the bottom of the screen stay on for 10 seconds then goes off. So it appears that the screen is going black then off after 10 seconds. If this is the case, and can it be fixed to truly turn the screen off without just going black and the bottom button delay?

I know my phone model is not popular but I still want to point out that the app works very well, makes my phone feels like my old LG G3. This feature is almost a must for those have ever used it. Your app is very efficient, thanks.

Unlike anything else I've tried, this app at least activates the screen when I double tap it. But it doesn't work with the smart lock, i.e. I have to enter the PIN every time.

It works like a charm on my Lenovo Vibe K5+. Installed it and after proper accessibility permissions in settings it creates a simple off shortcut and also enables double tap to wake up on lock screen. A must have feature for all those who wish to save the power button of their devices. Before this I was using wireless Usb mouse to awake the screen !

Great app. Works okay with note 5. I notice that i have to knock 4 times just to wake it up. Maybe if it could fix that then it would have more rating.

Very inconsistent when attempting to wake up using double tap. On HTC Desire 728. Please improve and I will rate this 5 stars.

This has pretty much ruined my phone. Everytime i attempt to Uninstall, android force closes. Have to format my phone just to remove it

There should be an option to turn the screen on when a call is recieved, otherwise the incoming call displays on the stock popup, not the full screen. Also, the LED notifications are disabled when this app is active.

Wow. I was just setting up the app and my whole screen became unresponsive. What a mess!

A little glitch on wake up: plain wallpaper appears before lockscreen.

Doesn't lock phone when you use it, this is vital for me, since I want to use finger print unlock, will be checking power use of app and update review, FYI I suspect you need root for 100 percent functionality

My phone won't respond to my taps after the app requested for access on apps data (usage stats) in android security settings. Help please! Don't ever download this app!!!! I'm using xperia xa. I don't know what happened, I can wake my phone but I can't restart it, power it off. Help please!

I cannot remove administrator access for this app. I try and settings stops. I don't know if this is a hack or what, but I cant delete it from my phone OR tablet

Annoying... I downloaded bc it advertised triple tap... actually doesn't (have to pay to unlock it). All it had to do was specify which settings are pro like other apps do in Description to save ppl like me the time and effort)

Not working and not able to uninstall

Works but,i can't write a fast sms or message on facebook without the app locking my phone...

Even though my screen isn't OLED type.Other apps use too much power.My phone is HTC One M7.

So I was trying to set up this app and on tapping 'start the app' I got this dialogue that says "Please allow KnockOn to access apps data in android security settings" and its not going away so I am locked out of my device and don't know what to do. Care to explain?

I'm a bit disappointed that I can tap on lock screen to turn on. Also when I'm on Facebook and I double tap it turns off my phone

God it have me heartache When it asked me to allow some permission the window pop up made my screen unresponsible My phone screen totally stopped working until i switch off my phone Please do me a favor fix it I wanna try this app....thank you

Stops responding as soon as I activate this app as a device administrator. Can't uninstall. Useless. Asks permission for drawing over apps and an OK button appears and from this time, the phone stops responding. Useless.

Doesn't sleep on double tap, or to wake. I had to slide upwards and make samsung pay wake the screen. Galaxy s7 edge unroot. Fingerprint works. I noticed device admin keeps turning off for this app. That's probably why it doesn't work

whenever i used to chat on messenger it automatically locks down while typing..this doesn't work for bubble up apps..

Needs support for AOD. Turns it off on my GS7 Edge. Maybe there is a pro setting for that, but I'm not sure.

DO NOT INSTALL. It froze my phone and I couldn't do anything for hours until I could restart my phone eventually.

Bought the pro version to enable detection of keyboard on screen to avoid locking the screen accidentally

My advice is don't install this because it can crash down Sometime when you will need your phone most . Sometime it worked and sometime not so I uninstalled it but gave it 5 star because atleast it worked not Iike other apps which not even work.
