UCam247Live Wi-Fi IP Cameras

Awful. Loses connection with camera continuously despite being six feet away. Looking for suitable replacement. Terrible... don't bother.. update.. getting worse. No connection of any useable quality at all now. Astounded that i paid so much money only to be handed this terrible software. Would connect to my testicles if I stuck em on with superglue.

Camera good, software atrocious. When I receive an alert it requires several attempts at opening then closing the app, then opening again, until connection finally occurs. Trying to reconnect from within the app's interface, seems to crash the it completely. Consequently, by the time I have established a connection, who/whatever triggered the camera is long gone. I purchased this because it was described as a security camera. Sadly it fails owing to the pitiful app and software. My Internet connection is fine as it has been scrutinised along with this camera installation, by a family member who installs and manages multiple technological business networks, which includes cctv cameras.

I've had this internal camera for few years now. Since the software update it's been useless on wifi. Works well on cable but not what purchased for. Can I get the old original software back as not recognising wifi at all not matter how many times I set up or read fault diagnosis

Software is useless. Does not recognise camera even though it is recognised by my iPAD and laptop. I have previously emailed support due to camera dropping from network, only to be advised that the equipment is perfect.. I have a 300Mbit connection at home and yet the feedback is delayed and night vision is not clear. Having recently retired from 25 years in IT, including supporting CCTV systems, I offered to go to their office to discuss my issues and possible solutions, which included the way that recorded images and videos were listed, however this was declined. It is a shame that what could and should be a market leading product is let down by poor software.

Really disappointed and I feel let down. waste of my money and time, I might as well have a cardboard box on the side of my house as it might communicate better!.

Changed the default "admin" password to a strong one using the browser interface, but was then baffled that the app couldn't connect. From trial and error it seems the app has a limit of about 12 characters, much shorter than the camera and browser interface can handle! What a stupid limitation, and one that appears nowhere in the documentation. Good camera, lousy software.

I am very competent with most I.T systems and this this is a ridiculous piece of software !! It is massively over complicated and completely unreliable. The initial setup to auto record onto sd card and automatically overwrite old data (which should be a one click affair) took a homemade youtube video made by someone with the same frustration as me. The camera quality and picture is great but the software is a disgrace ! Your tutorial video are a joke !

Absolutly awful. Defeats the object of even installing the camera as the footage takes about 10 minutes to load. The pictures take 10 minutes to load. The whole "motion notification" isn't even helpful as when I click it it takes 10 minutes for the camera to appear online so I've missed whatever motion it was. To watch the video it captured is just not worth while as you'll be there all day waiting for it to load. What a pile of crap.

Love this app and the cameras awesome package.

Difficult to close

App seams to work fine, however if you set-up the Email Alarm which is a key aspect of the app your email address is entered and your password. The PASSWORD IS NOT HIDDEN. This is a very basic security flaw in the app that should be resolved asap. Spoke to Ucam247 and they say they can't change it only the app developer can.

It works very well, the video streaming was easy to set up. Laptop image is very good , mobile streaming is very good. But if I turn all the alerts/alarms off and back out of the app as instructed ..even forcing close the app I still get alerts popping up ,I'm not worried if it's not streaming high volume of data but it just won't stop giving me alerts , am I doing something wrong ?? Apart from this little annoyance it's very good overall .

Keeps going off line on mobile app but still OK on laptop. Have to keep re loading sort the app out please, I have a cheap cera and their app is good

When playing back recordings via the app there is no way to pause, start, stop etc.

Good when working, but frequently crashes, sometimes doesn't connect and fails to load menu items at times.

Can view cam in web page but does note work on note 4

Need to download images from text list, no thumbnails used to help select/screen files to download so off site review as a security facility is tedious. Download of video list often fails, requiring repeated attempts to get past 'download failed' error message. Disappointing, amateur feel to the whole app experience

Camera will randomly switch off when changing settings in this version of the app. Desperately needs a UI overhaul, if you see an update available always make sure you are at home, as inevitably the update will stop the cameras working/force you to set up everything from scratch, even if you have a Nexus Android.

Please allow us to change the notification sound for camera movement.

Dose exactly what I want, simple straight forward app with no adds.

It works fine. The only problem is not related to the app, but to our cameras. Simply not good enough under suboptimal light circumstances, not even cheap HD ones. Good for general purposes, but if you want real information, placing and lighting is important. To safely detect invasion, hide it at 1.8 m height somewhere, use also fake ones. And you have what you need. The app is reliable, fast, ok.

Won't sign into WiFi network since update. Very disappointed.

Yes am aware that if you click back you get an option to either run in background or quit completely. Clicking Quit completely will still make the app pop up on a camera alarm. So it obviously isnt quitting completely!

unfortunatly app auto updated after a playstore update on my pad. Tried to connect to camera and did not work also could not access from desktop anymore. Had to pay soeone with long ladder to get camera down and then found to my horror after connecting with lan cable that it had connected itself to a nearby ssid. can not find old app anywhere as new app is very childlike and parts only work in portrate mode so find having to constantly turn pad one way then other also some parts of control at top of screen and others at bottom, should all be at top ot bottom to avoid constantly switching. had to pay again to get it put back up, in all £50 was paid and all i got was an inferior app. why canot you make the old one available as well.

UPDATE: SUPER QUICK FEEDBACK FROM UCAM SUPPORT! Closing is as easy as pressing back from the main screen! Wish it was more obvious ;)

Very poor system, after update failed to connect for more than few seconds, in the bin and find a good system!! :-(

That is a truly terrible setup. Wi-Fi doesn't work have tried three different networks. WPS setup doesn't work either. Will return camera unless it gets resolved

What kind of update do you call that? Just ran update (bear in mind I work 300miles away from my house) and to my amazement I no longer have access to my camera and now have to reinstal camera which I cannot do until I am back home. Where was the warning prior to running update guys? I disagree with your response. The advice that you will need to reconnect up your camera us in the detail. This should be a please note as the first comment at the very top of the list not hidden below.

Decent app, but two massive issues. 1) Does not close correctly, and 2) Cannot switch off notifications. would have been a good App otherwise.

Very reliable which isn't always the case with these fancy remote gadgets, new interface is great. Would be nice if it stayed in landscape on a tablet though!

Serious problems with playback of recordings. Freezing , loss of sound.

Advertised to be no hassle installation! Now you have to contact help desk service from their website to check if your firmware is up to date!

I have upgraded to 2.0.6 after that it keeps on loosing connection seems this version has bugs....developers pls fix....
