What is the main thing you want in a baby monitor? You want to know if your baby is crying. This only works if you leave your phone on all the time with this app running in the foreground. There is no dedicated screen, so this has to be bulletproof. Switch apps: no more audio. Allow the screen to go black: no audio. Plus, frequent problems staying connected to the camera and significant, unexplained latency. And random bugs with the app, like buttons not working until a restart.

The Babelens App has made progress in recent days. Now it can receive motion & audio alerts even it runs in the background of Android smart phones. Sure you can hear notification sound of the alerts if you live within America. Unless you are travelling around EU or other countries, maybe you will lost signal. For me, I can watch my baby anytime when I am not at home. I faced video latency at first too. It did annoy me. I take a friend's advice to decrease the video resolution. The video is not as clear as crystal now, But now I can see my baby's cute face everyday.

It finds the camera, then just says 'connecting' and nothing else ever happens. Piece of junk software.
