About Shopping List
Hi. This app is designed to help you stick to your budget when you go to the store to buy a list of items. Instructions for it's use are included, because my brother pointed out that it was a little complicated to figure out until you play with it for a while. The instructions are very thorough and this makes them a little extensive, but it will help you to understand my reasoning for the way I wrote the program if you read them. Please, if you experience what you perceive as problems, read the instructions before blowing me out. To read the instructions, just tap on the question mark in the bar at the top of the main screen. What looks like a problem probably isn't as I have spent a long time making sure that the app works as I intended and it is a fairly simple app to begin with.
If your device doesn't have external memory (SD card or built in) this app will not run on your device. The files it creates need to be stored somewhere, and external memory is the logical place because this affords creating a program that can be used on your laptop or desktop (bigger keyboard) to create the initial list and then bluetoothing or usbing the ArrayList file to the device (phone, tablet, etc…) in the place where the file resides. This would not be possible using internal memory as I understand the way it works.
When I originally came up with this idea, it was so I could keep a running tab on how much I am spending while I am at the grocery store. Any one who buys their own groceries and tries to keep to a budget knows what I am talking about. It is near impossible to stick to your list. And, since the price of everything is skyrocketing, sometimes you have to figure out what, if anything, needs to be left behind so you don't overspend. That was the driving force behind the production of this app. But, just because I made this app for buying groceries, doesn't mean it can't be used for other things. For instance, let's say you want to build something with lumber. You make your plan, figure out what you need to do it, make your (Shopping) list… Get the picture? Now, instead of keeping track of a notepad, pencil, and phone (I assume that contractors have cell phones for their business needs) all you need is your phone. See if you can find other uses for this app. Thanks for your purchase.
