About Shopping List Trial
Hi. This trial version of Shopping List is designed to help you stick to your budget when you go to the store. You will be limited to lists of 5 items. Instructions for it's use are included, because my brother pointed out that it was a little complicated to figure out until you play with it for a while. The instructions are very thorough and this makes them a little extensive, but it will help you to understand my reasoning for the way I wrote the program if you read them. See the "?" on the top right of the first pane above? That is the instruction, or Help, page. Please, if you experience what you perceive as problems, read the instructions before blowing me out. What looks like a problem probably isn't as I have spent a lot of time making sure that the app works as I intended and it is a fairly simple app to begin with.
If your device doesn't have external memory (SD card or built in) this app will not run on your device. The files it creates need to be stored somewhere, and external memory is the logical place because this affords creating a program that can be used on your laptop or desktop (bigger keyboard) to create the initial list and then bluetoothing the ArrayList file to the device(phone, etc…) in the place where List1.btp resides. This would not be possible using internal memory.
When I originally came up with this idea, it was so I could keep a running tab on how much I am spending while I am at the grocery store. Any one who buys their own groceries and tries to keep to a budget knows what I am talking about. It is near impossible to stick to your list. And, since the price of everything is skyrocketing, sometimes you have to figure out what, if anything, needs to be left behind so you don't overspend. Plus, groceries isn't the only thing this app is good for. If you have a project of some kind (woodworking, plumbing, automotive, etc.), you can use this app to make a list for that too.You can also check your receipt against List2 to see if you were overcharged for anything. Just make notes on the receipt and remove the List2 item as you finish with it. Thanks for trying out my app. I hope you decide to buy the full version. It's only $1.99 y'all. And you will be able to make your list as long as you want with it.
