Jakobswege

Die App „Jakobswege in Westfalen“ richtet sich an alle, die die Pilgerreise ins nordspanische Santiago de Compostela vor ihrer Haustür beginnen wollen und dabei aus oder durch Westfalen kommen. Ideal ist sie auch für Einheimische, die auf den Wegen der Jakobspilger ihre Heimat einmal etwas anders kennenlernen wollen.

Das Projekt „Wege der Jakobspilger in Westfalen“ basiert auf der wissenschaftlichen Forschung der Altertumskommission für Westfalen (LWL) zu historischen Wegetrassen. In mehreren Teilprojekten wurden Routen ausgewählt, die im Mittelalter von Pilgern auf dem Weg nach Santiago de Compostela benutzt wurden. Entlang der historischen Trassen verlaufen die modernen Pilgerwege, ausgeschildert mit gelber Muschel auf blauem Grund. Diese App ergänzt die im J.P. Bachem-Verlag erschienenen Bücher.

Die App bietet nicht nur die kartographische Darstellung der Route, sondern auch zahlreiche Informationen zu Sehenswürdigkeiten rechts und links des Weges sowie zur Infrastruktur für Pilger:
• Darstellung des Pilgerweges in Google-Maps
• Darstellung der Position des Nutzers über GPS
• Über 200 POIs: Sehenswürdigkeiten, Unterkünfte, Stempelstellen, Tourist-Infos und andere Besonderheiten
• Navigation auch zu POIs, die nicht direkt an der Strecke liegen
• Direkte Kontaktaufnahme zu Unterkünften über Telefonnummern/Emailadressen
• Auswahl von Standorten/Strecken in der unmittelbaren Umgebung
• Die Gesamtrouten sind in Einzelrouten eingeteilt, die Tagesetappen von 15-20 km entsprechen

Derzeit umfasst die App den Weg von Minden über Bielefeld und Lippstadt nach Soest. Zukünftig wächst die App um drei weitere Strecken, die über Updates verfügbar gemacht werden.

• Over 200 POIs: attractions, accommodations, stamp locations, tourist information and other features
• Navigation also POIs that are not directly on the route
• Direct contact with accommodation on telephone numbers / email addresses
• choice of locations / routes in the immediate vicinity
• The total routes are divided into individual routes that correspond to the daily distances of 15-20 km

Currently, it includes the path from Minden via Bielefeld and Lippstadt Soest. In the future, the app grows to three other routes that are made available through updates.
