About The News Sentiment Scanner
This app provides the general sentiment (positive, neutral or negative) and its relative strength values (in decimal points) for each financial news about a company.
Just run the app and you get a panel with two search modes:
1) by partial or full company name
2) by ISIN code + exchange code (three letters)
At the bottom, there are two drop down menus: in the first one you choose the number of past days until today since to get the news (default 0 i.e. today, maximum 5), in the second one the relevance, that is the accuracy degree of the news greater than the displayed value (default 0.5, maximum 0.9)
Push the Search button and after waiting for some seconds, you get the result with a list of news sorted by the most recent ones.
For each news, it shows after isin and exchange code, the headline, the general sentiment (positive, neutral, negative), the decimal point value for each one (in order to understand the strength), the timestamp and the relevance degree.
The Search Mode 1 supports the stocks included in the main financial worldwide indexes (DAX 30 - Germany, CAC 40 - France, SMI 20 - Switzerland, FTSE 100 - United Kingdom, IBEX 35 - Spain, PSI 20 - Portugal, FTMIB - Italy, AEX - Netherlands, BEL 20 - Belgium, NIKKEI 225 - Japan, S&P 500 - United States, Hang Seng - Honk Kong, Straits Time - Singapore, Bovespa - Brazil, ASX200 - Australia, RTSI - Russia, Sensex - India, CSI 300 - China, ADI - United Arab Emirates, GSPTSE - Canada, BIST 100 - Turkey, Johannesburg - South Africa)
If there is any connection error preventing to get the result or no news at all, you'll get a proper popup alert.
