Jaguar Route Planner for Android
Pains me to say absolute rubbish, doesn't work. Signed in but doesn't matter what destination address or postcode you enter, the result is always the same - "didn't find anything". Considering the car cost £60k and one of the selling points was this feature, that's pretty disgusting at best. Needs to be sorted out.
Auguat 2016 update: still can't use this app as it never gets the location of my car right. Original post: No point to this app if thinks your car is somewhere that it isn't. Waste of money and time.
Forget those reviews which say this app is no good just make sure you follow the set-up instructions and it will work fine as indeed mine does. Of course if there is no GPS signal then it will struggle but that isn't the app's fault. This is a really good app.
The app won't even load maps, so I've just got a lovely blue dot floating in a sea of gray. How about Jaguar just joins Google's "Send to Car" so they can exit the business of second rate apps and focus on the business of first rate cars?
Truly awful. Can't find anything you search for. Told me that home was 13 miles away (correct) and this was too far for it to be able to set this as a destination, which is obviously utter bollocks. On another destination it suggested I walk 127 miles and that this would take 21 days. Did anyone test this? And why has the developer not responded to comments like this one but which were made over six months ago. Anyone care?
The app seems to have no idea where the car is, although the jaguar remote app knows exactly where it is. Very poor nothing like its advertised. Does not sync either.
Have my account set up will not recognize my password. No support offered. After a month still not working. This is abysmal and embarrassing for a company I used to love.
Excellent app which would have got 4 stars BUT since I upgraded my phone it does not work. There seems to be an issue with this app when used with Android Nougat.
Made the mistake of downloading the app and expecting it to just work (why not?) but if you do this you get the problem reported below that the app just opens and then closes. Follow the instructions in "more" which tell you you need to register it, and then it seems OK. Why this can't be flagged by the app on first opening is puzzling to me, but Jaguar seems to like making digital features difficult.
It's working for me. Installed on Samsung Galaxy S6 running Android 6.0.1. Using it on a 2016 XJL. Using the app at home I searched for the US Capitol building. Once I located it, I started guidance on the phone. The app directed me to where my car was parked. When I got in the car and the car connected to the internet, once I opened the car's navigation system, it immediately recognized the trip and gave me the option to accept the destination. Selected yes and I was on my way. This is super convenient because I prefer having my destination mapped out before getting into the car.
I would have given it more stars but satellite view, which I used to use a lot, now has a green cast on it which obscures the view. It didn't used to have it. Why does it have a green cast? It serves no purpose. There are no settings to remove it. Also, can't rename a saved destination to make it more meaningful.
The app thinks my car is parked over 63km away when in fact it's about 20 feet away. There is no way to override the location to correct the error. Please sort it out.
Same problems others. Does not recognise password even though have followed instructions
3 days trying to log on...never accepts the passwords and never sends the email to reset the password!!!!
Splash screen looks good but the app then crashes everytime. Great idea, poor implementation.
Doesn't load ANYTHING. No maps. Behaves like it has no Internet connection at all.
Cannot find anything on search. Therefore utterly useless.
Does not update to the last car position, keeps last but one. Doesn't allow editing favourite's name.
after 3 days still says my car is 9.1 miles away. total CRAP. unfortunately usable Jaguar should do better fancy tech is only fancy if it works this is just annoying.
Installed on one plus two, started the app, saw the logo, then the app closed. Does this every time. Uninstalled.

I have this app on my LG G5 and on my iPhone 7. Works fine on my iPhone. On Android, it doesn't find any destinations when I search. A mapping app is fairly useless if it can't find anything you search for. I can use my iPhone or the website to enter an address and save it to favorites. It syncs fine to this device and I can route from there, but I can't search for a destination with this app on Android. That's a pretty bug that should have prevented a build from going live.
