WGR – Sports Radio 550

Basically, whenever something functional happens on my RAZR, the radio shuts off. I like listening to schop & bulldog @ work, but not when I gotta restart the app to get the radio back on every block. Update: 11/14/16 - new updated app, playback or live radio do not even work for more than 30 seconds.. play button doesn't work when trying to turn it on again. Awful, get it together, missing out on a lot of revenue for online listeners.

Awful playback... Contact stopping and restarting.... Thats the good part... have yet to listen to an entire show with out it crashing... pick up a transmitter radio and stick a coat hanger into the antennas hole and I will guarantee you better listening to WGR that way versus this app

The live streaming constantly cuts out...sometimes I can listen for 2 minutes, sometimes for 30 minutes but it always cuts out. The old style app didn't have all the bells and whistles but it did the job reliably.

Big fan of the bills listen to WGR in my car all the time. This app drives me crazy. Come on WGR get your act together!!!

Every review mentions that the app crashes frequently. Yet no updates or fixes after all this time. Have you just given up? Love the station but this app makes it impossible to listen to.

i wrote a bad review 3 years ago. the app has gotten better since then. i personally prefer to use the tune in radio app. it works much better. as a truck driver, i stream wgr most of the day

Streaming live audio ALWAYS stops after approximately a minute or two on my S5, usually when the screen times out or locks. Same thing happened on my previous S4. Slightly more stable on my Tab S but will still randomly stop streaming. EXTREMELY ANNOYING!

I love the morning show, they're all ”Red Bulled up!" Schoop and Bulldog are terrible. The first 15 minutes of their show is worse than an hour of Sandy Beach. I've never had a stream drop.

I can't listen for more than 30 secs without the stream stopping, I hit start and stop, then we buffer for another minute or so.....then rinse and repeat. I would love to listen from my phone getting ready for work in the morning, but it's impossible! Infuriating

Awful app. Audio cuts out constantly and the play button often doesn't work when pressed. The only thing that functions flawlessly are the adds.

Constant audio drops. Of course the opening advertisement plays just fine.

Love the app for Svhopp but constant disconnect issues that result in pausing and rebuffering even on wifi. Very unreleable. Will update review once issues are straightened out #sabres

Stays connected for a little while but if I get an alert from any other app while listening the wgr app crashes.

Crashes a lot. New layout is awful too. Updating apps should make them better, not worse.

Two months later. Works fine everytime on three different devices. The negative reviews make no sense.

I've been using this app to listen to Bills games while I'm at work and the app closes and buffers half the damn time... Of course during commercials there is always a clear signal...

The live stream constantly pauses. I used to listen to the stream in the gym but it keeps stopping.

Stream convienently drops after playing through the ads. Crashes all the time.

Have to open app every 5 minutes to hit play or close and reopen no matter WiFi, 4G and during a sabres/bills game or post/pregames every 5 minutes for sure. Constantly buffering, stop playing or freezes.

The app won't stream audio in the background for longer than 5-10 minutes. Sadly, this issue seems to be several years old (based on reviews from 2014).

Really poor quality. I've moved out of state and listen to wgr for sabres and bills broadcasts, but it constantly pauses and drops every 10-30 minutes. I've tried the streaming app on the laptop too and it's about as bad. Come on, wgr... We out of staters need to hear Rick Jeanneret!

It would be nice to have the app not drop the radio connection constantly.

If you can't develop an app that can run without crashing every five minutes, don't make one at all.

The stream drops every 7-10 minutes and sometimes even more. Please fix!

OK at best. Playback is stop-and-go while I'm at home listening on Wi-Fi. Unfortunately, not living in Buffalo anymore leaves me with few options

This is the worst app in the history of the universe and it crashes constantly.

I never used to have a problem with the app but now I can't get it to play for more then 30 seconds without it stopping. Figure it out guys.

Love the station, and spend a few hours each day listening to each show. This app is ridiculous however. Constantly stops playing both the live stream, and the on demand audio. Fix the bugs and it goes to 5 stars.

Says I'm listening... But nothing?
