KUT 90.5 Music, News, & NPR

I downloaded the app a while back because I am an avid listener and was moving to Austin. Now that I need the app during commutes it has never worked. Uninstalling and going to NPR One hoping for better results.

I can no longer get the actual shows to stream when on either wi-fi orcell network. The opening "in support of" blurb does play but that's it. This app really sucks on my phone! I'm now using iHeart radio on my android phone and works great on KUTX.

I tried this months ago and again today. It didn't work either time.

Says buffering but never makes a sound.

I'm a kut supporter, so I'd love to be able to use this as an alarm clock, but it doesn't work.

Unfortunately it doesn't work. At all.

This sucks even more since the Note 4 doesn't have a radio receiver.

I used to love this app. I changed phones and it never plays now. It just says buffering all the time.

Good idea bad implementation.

Plays one ad, does nothing else. No error code or help files.

Unreliable

Ads work 9 of 10 times. Radio broadcast maybe 3 of 10 and then only briefly. Love KUT. The app is a piece of frustrating garbage. I've continued to try it on and off for over a yr now - but I'm done.

It will buffer then play about 3seconds of audio and that's it. Need a better solution guys lets get an update yeah?

Ran on a Samsung galaxy admire 2 running 4.2, but does not run on my Samsung galaxy s4 running 4.2.2.

It starts and that's the end of it. It seems to be buffering but then stops without playing or playing a couple of words and then stopping again. I love KUT and wished their app could be updated. It used to work fine on my old phone a year or so ago.

Like everyone else has said, it buffers too long. It randomly cuts out and never comes back, even if you go back to the app and hit play on a station and wait. Running on a Galaxy Note 4. The iOS version of this app works just fine. Don't forget the Android people, KUT!

The app has a few bugs and needs some more attention from its developers.

This worked for me one time and it was great, every other time it has closed abruptly. May be unstable with HTC Sense.

Volume lower than other NPR apps. Quality also lower than other radio stations too.

Samsung intercept... Plays ad for Texas mutual, then crashes every time instead of starting the stream playing.

Worked for about 4 weeks, then stopped. Will show 'buffering audio' then never play. Appears from reviews that this is a common problem.

Have tried updating and close, but continues to crash.

This app worked quite well on my Samsung galaxy S3 for several months until the last OS upgrade. Now the app simply stops playing the stream after 2 min. Uninstall reinstall did not work. Other android phones are reporting similar problems.

Takes ages to load, can barely play a minute of audio at a time before cutting out indefinitely. Absolutely useless.

For such a wonderful radio station to have a train wreck of an app is appalling. Please KUT, fix this.

Starts then stops. No bueno.

if screen sleeps, stream stops. switch apps, stream stops. bug hits windshield, stream stops. no good. should be able to run in background.

Not playing anything!

This app is terrible. I love KUT and REALLY wish this app was functional but it takes forever to load/buffer, often never loads at all, and shuts down when it wants to causing you to restart the whole process over. I've even tried deleting and reinstalling. C'mon KUT, we need better.

This goes to show that KUT is barely a public station. I was trying to listen to the Jazz station and it suddenly quit. Further, it takes up the whole screen wall in operation this is ridiculous. I would expect more from the University of Texas which now price: itself on being such a technologically advanced University. Could KUTX just provide a streaming stations on the shout cast on Winamp?

Not an app i can rely on. Need much more work. Would love to use more.
