San Benito Imagenes

Al frente de la medalla aparece la figura de san Benito sosteniendo dos cosas. Sostiene en su mano derecha una cruz (a la que la tradición le adjudica un gran amor por parte del monje), y en su mano izquierda el libro de las Reglas, con la oración rodeando la figura del santo: Eius in obitu nostro praesentia muniamur!: "A la hora de nuestra muerte seamos protegidos por su presencia" (oración de la Buena Muerte). Benito es el patrón de la buena muerte. En el fondo de la imagen aparece una copa envenenada, de la cual, cuando el santo hizo sobre ella la señal de la cruz, salió una serpiente. Un enemigo celoso intentó envenenarlo dándole una hogaza de pan envenenada, mas al pretender comérsela se la llevó un cuervo (estos detalles aparecen en la medalla). Arriba de la cruz aparecen las palabras Crux sanctis patris Benedicti

Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti (C.S.P.B.): que en castellano es: Cruz del Santo Padre Benito
Crux Sancta Sit Mihi Lux (C.S.S.M.L.): "La santa Cruz sea mi luz" (crucero vertical de la cruz)
Non Draco Sit Mihi Dux (N.D.S.M.D.): "Que el dragón no sea mi señor/guía" (dux = duque = Señor (en un sentido feudal), en clara analogía al Señor Celeste, Dios mismo)." (crucero horizontal)

PAX: "Paz". Leading the medal of St. Benedict figure appears holding two things. Holds in his right hand a cross (which tradition ascribes a great love by the monk), and in his left hand the book of Rules, prayer surrounding the saint: Eius in nostro obitu praesentia muniamur !: "at the time of our death we are protected by their presence" (prayer of the Good death). Benito is the patron of a happy death. a poisoned cup on the background of the image, which, when the saint made over it the sign of the cross, left a snake. A jealous enemy tried to poison giving him a poisoned loaf of bread, but to pretend to eat it took her a crow (these details appear on the medal). Top of the cross appear the words Crux Sanctis Patris Benedicti

Crux Sancta Sit Mihi Lux (C.S.S.M.L.): "The Holy Cross be my light" (vertical cross cruise)
Non Draco Sit Mihi Dux (N.D.S.M.D.): "Let not my lord dragon / Guide" (dux = = Lord Duke (in a feudal sense), a clear analogy to Celeste Lord, God Himself) "(horizontal cruise).
