Screen Off

Excellent app for when you want to dim the screen, (to save battery), with the ability to turn the screen back on without the power button (LG G5 is on the back so when in a car dock, not possible). Double tap to turn screen on so it's where you left it would be good. Currently using the "recents" button pressing twice to achieve this. If it's a possibility, please add this. Many thanks Dev ????

This is a good fit for the Samsung S7 edge if you want to use fingerprint unlock with a screen off app. There is a delay of about 5 secs before the always on screen comes up but then the fingerprint unlock works without having to use pin or pattern, good trade off, in my opinion. Worth getting the Pro version.

Does what they claim, but since installing I have frequent random changes on my phone: goes on airplane mode, or inverts colors, or on Do Not Disturb, or data connection turns off. I may uninstall it soon. Wrote to tech support a week ago, but no response. Hence one star.

Garbage. Doesn't turn off your screen simply makes it blank

The app is good. When touched, it immediately dims the screen but taking 10 seconds to turnoff fully. Try to off the screen immediately in next update if possible.

It doesnt need device admin access and doesnt trigger security policy to reenter my password instead of fingerprint

It works exactly as I hoped it would on my Samsung phone. Requires NO permissions.

A scam! Just puts a black overlay on the screen - everything is still on, navigation buttons still lit and screen will wake if you you touch the phone. Feel ripped off that I paid money for this rubbish.

Works perfectly with my Nexus 6p. Turns the screen "off" but does not interfere with any screen locking mechanisms. For the idiots complaining that it is not locking the screen, that's the whole point. If you want to lock your screen there are hundreds of free apps for that.

Screen off (black) and nothing else. Phone will lock according to your settings. If you're too stupid to modify that to taste, that's a you problem. You can unlock with fingerprint (if you have a modern phone) & without a password, unlike other apps where it will always require a password, which is annoying. This is exactly what most users need if you don't want to be constantly annoyed entering passwords, and save your power button. Perfect!

An incredibly useful app for phones which have a fingerprint sensor. Unlike other similar apps this does NOT lock the phone. This is a huge plus -- a feature not a bug -- as if you lock the phone the fingerprint sensor cannot be used when you next unlock the phone. If you want to lock the screen when you turn off the screen you can use your phone's normal settings for this. A great app.

I tried many with my new s7 they would all require me to enter pin on wake this one i can still use finger print to access worth the money

Other screen-off apps lock the phone and I need to use fingerprint to unlock even if I have trusted device. This app does not require me to use fingerprint to unlock the phone. Actually I installed both: this one and one that locks phone.

Does exactly what it says - turns the screen off. Other apps turn the screen off and lock the phone - but this one does not auto-lock, which is very nice, because on Marshmallow, with the 'stay unlocked when a trusted device is connected' this app does not interfere with that. The phone will auto-lock shortly after the screen is off (using the power button or this app) if my trusted device is not connected. This app is a true replacement for the power button to quickly turn off the phone display and not interfere with the auto-lock settings in Android.

Mine still locks after a few seconds, although I set my lock timeout to 10mins. Might be something with the enforced security due to company account. Anyway, thanks.

Been looking for a simple "screen off only" app for ages but was bombarded with lock screen apps. Did'nt even finish the trial & bought pro!!!

For google user with Motorola: look for app which promises to lock your screen. If you make mistake do not put one star for app which you bought and which is excellent.

Finaly the app that just turn off the screen without locking it and without a tons of stupid settings and useless options. Good job. I love it.

This is exactly what I needed. Setting display timeout with Tasker sometimes fails for my phone and leaves the display on. I can call this from Tasker instead which I could not do with a widget,

Off without locking - just what I needed. Would like a no fade option, for faster screen off.

Works just like power off button on droid x but it takes 4 seconds for the lighted keys to go off

Face it, the Shield with all it's controls on the pad, it is still easier to use the touch screen for some inputs. That means fingerprint and smuts on that awesome display. With this key, you can shut off the display for a good micro cloth rubdown then hit the home button and you're back in business. Works great on my HTC One M8 too!
