Ham Test Prep

Helped me to study for and pass the HAM Technician exam this year within one month of starting! Later passed the General, and now studying for Extra. Very efficient because it highlights the sections for which your score is below 75%, so you can focus more studying on them! Convenient because you can answer a few questions throughout the day at any time, just pull out the phone and pick up where you left off! If you find concepts unfamiliar, you're phone's right there, just search for them in the browser!

This is by far the best test prep app out there. In addition to being superior on Android, this app is even more superior compared to the ones offered on iOS. I've used this app to prepare for my Technician and General Class exams and will do the same in preparation for the Extra class exam. Another thing I like is that this app is FREE. It's the way it should be in the spirit of Ham Radio.

Question E8D12 on the new pool is incorrect. Otherwise this is the best prep app available. Took my Extra on July 2nd with the new pool using this app. Other than the single error I pointed out above I passed the first attempt with ease. I'm visually impaired so the black background with white font was a true blessing.

I used it for both the General and Extra exams and this is best prep tool out there. The best feature is the ability to go through by subelement. It shows how many times you got the question right or wrong, so if you see you already answered correctly, you can just skip it. Some other sites keep repeating questions over and over, with this you can go through a whole subelement when you have a few minutes of free time.

(-Updated-) ALMOST A WEEK OF JUST USING THIS APP, couple times a day, AND ACED THE TECH! The V.E. team was shocked, 2 minutes from start to finish, including filling out the paperwork! fastest they'd ever seen!This app isn't to teach you per se, it's to get you to pass the test, and it does that well. (-Update,b-)A SOLID WEEK LATER, ACED THE GENERAL!!

Used this as my primary method of practicing the test and passed my technicians license by missing only one and my general and didn't miss any. Now studying for Extra and plan to take my test in a coups of weeks! Update: now an extra class! Such a great app!

How this got the hghest rating I dont know. If you skip a question and hit the back button to return to that question, t automatically andwers it for you and you lose points. Its multiple choice but not the way normal multiple choice tests are. You can select multiple wrong answers one after the other and you lose poits eah time. If you want a "hint" rather than just removing one of the questions, it andwers it for you and you lose points...this app is ridiculous.

Good app. It's been a great tool for studying. However... there are times when this app has made me so angry that I nearly threw my tablet against the wall. The problem is that sometimes the app presents you with a question and four answers and JUST as your finger is about to tap the answer, THE APP SHUFFLES THE ANSWERS, FORCING YOU TO SELECT AN INCORRECT ANSWER. Why the f$%& does it do that?! Seriously, this is an absolutely infuriating aspect of this app and it needs to get corrected ASAP.

It needs an update to fix some answer pools that have run together. I've found some extra class questions that have clearly the wrong answers, element e3b first. Other than that, it's still the best thing going. Needs to be a Windows app too.

I used this app to study for my Technician license. Took me about 3 or 4 days going through the practice tests over and over until I was confident. I was one of the first few to finish the test. Every question is accurate word for word. Thank you!

I really liked this app. I never write reviews but this is a good app. I took my tech licence and got my ticket last saturday. I practiced about 2 weeks with this. only had 1 question wrong on the test. :) simple tracks progress clearly using it again for my next general level test

I aced my Tech and General exam using this app. I recommend using the "Study" section to get all the questions memorized, instead of just taking the practice exams. I'll use this app again for the Extra license when I find some spare time. The actual questions on the exam had slightly different wording, but it wasn't far off.

But still daunting to say the least. I am not an electrical engineer, so I have to just memorize as much as possible. I used this to help get my tech ticket. - KI7CLZ

Besides being free, this app is kept up to date and allows offline study when web access is not available. Very handy. Only issue is that when you redo a section, and get a better score, the new score often isn't shown; the older score "sticks" in place.

Only additional thing I would like to see is an option to test on your most missed questions as opposed to studying the whole block.

Only issue I have found is if you don't clear your stats the test will not pull questions randomly it will actually repeat most of the questions on every test so occasionally clear your stats.

I practiced during my daily commute using only this app. I got 33 out of 35 on the Technician test, which was in line with my score on the practice tests on this app. I'm very happy with the results. This app does everything it can to help you succeed; if you use it and don't pass, it's totally on you. :)

I just went from nothing to General Class in one day thanks in part to this app. It was very helpful. If anyone is studying go get a book and read. But, use this in your free time. It will prepare you well and, more importantly, build confidence.

It's a great app to practice taking the test and passing. It only gives the test,no theory or principles. It's easy enough to to use that I take each element test once a day. Use this and gordon west's book and you should pass all 3 tests,imo. 73 and good luck

It is by far a very good program it is very confusing at the start when you click on an answer if it is correct it will be green if it is wrong it will be red I do not agree with this I like ham test online better because if you get the wrong answer you can read why it is wrong right off the bat it cuz you why I'm not taking away from this app but even at the end the finished gives you the score and the answers you missed but does not give any study lessons explanation

An excellent resource for anybody looking to acquire or upgrade their ticket, but you'll have to look elsewhere for an actual study guide with explanations.

Practice problems don't seem to be random order. Passed my test which is what matters most.

I am using this app along with the ARRL study guide for in depth explanations. It is working very well.

This app is an AWESOME study guid. Could you please have an update that will refresh the posted score on each section in the study part after every time you complete it.

Excellent for helping study the questions. Helped me pass all three exams.
