ITV News

This is possibly the worst news app ever. For a National News provider it sucks. The local news has been virtually the same for the three days I've had it installed, and the National and International news hasn't faired much better. Compared to Upday and BBC News apps, well it just doesn't. But on the plus side it doesn't have adverts in the middle like the TV bulletin does.

Sick of biased reporting.you should report the news not add stupid comments about anything that doesn't fit your agenda. Just I stalling you now.

I can not see some of the videos it says I need flash player. Flash player is not available for android and this is an android app! I am using a Samsung S7 is that not new enough to play news videos? Local weather is not for my area! I am in Dorset and in the Meriden local news area. There are 2 Meriden news areas to choose from I am in west but app says for Bucks and Berks only.

The digital equivalent of asking a drunken tramp "hey, what's happening?". Slow, clunky, bug-ridden. You name a problem, this app has it

Useless. No breadth, no depth. Unistalled on 2 mins!

Poor. Unable to select local news properly. No option to select a topic. Got a log way to go to rival the BBC & Sky app.

It would be better if you could share stories to WhatsApp!

Great app

After watching News at Ten tonight wanted to see more about a particular item or just clarify what I had seen. No mention of the item here which was important enough that it should have been included. Also at 54MB this app is far too big for the basic information that it offers. Will be uninstalling

Much quicker to load than BBC News app but not well thought thorough. Loading 'more news' at the bottom of the page and opening one of those articles means that when you go back to the list, those newly loaded artcles have gone, and the page has reverted to the original. There needs to be a way of swiping back to the list from the article. It is very frustrating as it couldn't be that difficult to rectify. I do wonder if the developers have really tried to use the app. It also only works in portrait.

Just gave this app another go after nearly a year,Just as appalling now as it was then,no settings to personalise,the staring of articles doesn't work,still no night mode,and you can't even select category's because there is none,so far behind even basic news apps. ITV NEEDS TO BE ASHAMED OF ITSELF.

I live in ITV Westcountry's area, yet my "local" news on this is Kent. BBC don't appear to have a problem locating where I am on their news app

About 12 stories on this app, and not one decent story about anything that matters in the world . . . Deleted

Seems slow and gets stuck sometimes when loading stories.

Excellent. Much easier to find your way around than others. Works fine every time. Is missing a sport section though

No sport or tech or other subjects. Only mainstream news so uninstalling straight away. Poor app

Not the best new app, in fact probably the worst, where too is your Widget for the app, the best thing about it is that it can't get any worse so the only thing is it can get better, So get to it ITV

Can't believe there is still no option for compact layout so you can see more headlines per screen. Gets 1 star for being unbiased (unlike BBC news)

I thought it would be on par with the BBC app, but it is sooooooooooo basic.

Should be able to swipe right for next story. Aso very clunky, uninstalling now.

It's just a pity there are no other features as part of this app other than to read news stories which you can also watch on TV,maybe this was not the intention of the makers of this app.

The BBC News app sits in around 20mb, as does the Sky News app. This ITV effort devours over 200mb on my device. Sorry mate - you're gone - I'm running a budget tablet not a mainframe.

Come on ITV.. Expected more from a major news channel. .. This app is ABSOLUTE RUBBISH ( !! ). Get it together ! Basic in the extreme... I do not want to scroll through a lot of big pictures to find something of interest.. l want lists of topics, with headlines so you can click on the article you are interested in.. I want the ability to add or remove topics you may or may not be interested in.... And I want screen orientation so can read on a tablet........ Get your developers to look at the BBC news app which has all these things .. I just thought would get a different viewpoint on same news from you.. But as it stands, won't be using till you can get these things sorted.
