iCardio GPS Heart Rate Trainer for Android
Great app
Please change the UI so that the app looks more pro & less childish. Use better logo sets..
No longer works with new update
Great app which suffers on reviews because people are too lazy to read the manual.
I love to use this when using Cardio machines like treadmills, elliptical, and bikes. Works great with Scosche armband. I love the real time graph of my heart rate. Very easy to monitor how I'm doing on intensity and duration goals. I just wish it worked with watch based HR like fitbit or garmin.
Does not work with Fitbit / Garmin watches with heartrate monitoring features. Software is obsolete and is not keeping up with technology. Such a shame.
I don't want to sign up.
I want to try it without sign up
Android biased
Simplr to use yet extremely customizable for each workout type, voice feedback for heart rate zones is ideal for training and unlike other apps actually works. Only shame is cost of annual membership, come on guys drop to a realistic price.
I don't often write reviews, but I really like this app. It works just fine with the Scosche heart rate monitor and I like that it has a web interface. And c'mon, are you really going to spend $500 plus on a smart phone and grumble about $6 for a good app that will make that smartphone more useful? I think they went through a period where this thing wasn't being developed much -- at least that was the impression I got from looking on the net, but even then I had great and prompt service by email when I had some issues with syncing the thing to a computer and a Fitbit. If I were going to pick, I'd ask for two things: First, the Android app seems to be different form the IPad app. I use this on both, and there are some things to get used to. Second, it would be great if they could show my speed as I run rather than making me wait to find out how I did when I finish. But neither of those is a big deal. This is one of my main apps.
It does the job perfectly well.. I wonder why the app is rated just average, while the camera flash based apps are rated 4.5+ !! That's crazy
Every time I want to upgrade it keeps showing Purchase failed unable to buy item. Please help if there's another way
I have had this for almost a year now. I also did the upgrade so i have cloud backup and have been able to chart my progress. I find this and my HRV app to be the most valuable tools in my training regimen.
This is the best health app I've used, period. Easy to use, and set and track my goals.
I needed something to provide audio notifications for my Polar H7 Bluetooth monitor (because I couldn't get it to work correctly with Runkeepeer). This tool does the job perfectly.
I bought a scosche monitor and when I searched for apps that were compatible this one was listed... I had to pay $5.99 for an upgrade so that I could link my monitor... Only to find out that it is no longer compatible... I want my money back!!!
Great app that pairs and works well with my Scosche Rhythm Plus. Not as pretty as Runtastic or Runkeeper but basic heart rate sensor functionality/compatibility is much better in icardio than any other app I have seen. Tracking my heart rate during cardio and weight lifting sessions is my primary use for this app and my rhythm plus. All in all a great app just needs a material design overhaul and it will be able to compete with the other apps out there.
Love it. I use this for almost my workouts, whether it be weight lifting or on my Concept2 Rower. I pair it with my Polar H7 HRM amd have never had an issue with it.
Used for some years now and currently working fine combined with the H7 on a Note2 Android 4.4. Would like landscspe mode pse. Have waited long enough for any update to bring in screen rotation. Bye.
Does this pair with Tom Tom or Garmin watches
I use this on an elliptical with a Polar H7 HRM. It's great for real time feedback on heart rate zone, makes all sorts of charts and you can sync it with myfitnesspal. Stores all your workouts and you can view them on mydigifit and compare results to see how your conditioning has improved, You need the paid version to use with HRM, but it's well worth it. Includes 3 different fitness assessments for customizing heart rate zones, and you can of course manually adjust the heart rate zones Nexus 7 Gen 1 users: To use the Polar H7 you need a paid app called Bluetooth low energy. Update: Now using it with a Nexus 9 with cyanogenmod 13 (nightly's) and it still works flawlessly with the Polar H7 HRM, would give it 10 stars if I could.
Crashes all the time after update. Four stars for old app
I tried about 30 times to sync with my Scosche HRM, crashed every time.
Unlike others, I have more problems with the GPS integration that the HRM integration. I have a Zephyr BT, and it only loses sync if I put the phone down and move around 30 feet away. On the other hand, the GPS track with my Samsung Galaxy S4 gets lost and stays lost. I've run multiple GPS mapping apps at the same time, and iCardio is the only one to have problems. over my usual track.
Really disappointed that new version removed the ability to add notes and a description to each workout.
I like the app because it pairs with my cardio monitor and most treadmills and elliptical equipment at my gym
Thank you for Android development
Before the update it worked fine. Now it keeps freezing during the middle of a workout. Using wahoo tickr
Still no support for cycling speed/cadence devices!
One of the few (only?) fitness apps that doesn't require an ongoing subscription. I use it multiple tones per week and it rarely gives me trouble.
Has a lot of bugs when working with metric units and decimal numbers. For instance, when inserting a weight for the day, sometimes the target weight appears correctly and others converted from pounds to kilos despite the inserted number was already in kilos. Also, in the same screen, every time the decimal symbol is pressed either in the weight and the fat percentage, the input text is replaced with 99. One has to write the correct number in another app, copy it and paste in iCardio, something very bizarre.
This force closes under marshmellow but will work with lollipop
Paid to get access to my heart rate monitor!AND IT CRASHES EVERY TIME I START A WORK OUT! I WOULD GIVE YOU -1 star if I could. Wasted money! DONT BUY
I have problem with the app after using Android 5.0. The app cant be opened and force stop error occured. I have bought all in app purchased and wasted
Like the app but my heart monitor uses ANT+ and this app only supports Bluetooth. So wasted my money going premium.
Opened app set up heart rate monitor, was told to pay, no thanks, ever hear of trials? Sell me on it idiots
Love the app, but recent upgrade has the voice prompts for time and pace, etc. cut out at the 2 mile mark. Very annoying. Please fix.
I trained with this for over a year and about 370-380 sessions. I was very pleased. With the start of 2017 however the app, I have the paid Pro version, will only read heartrate for a 5 minute introduction period. When I attempt to use the "in app" upgrade I receive a "Response 7, Already owned" default message and the app shuts down. My HRM is the Sosche Rhythm+ which I bought to be compatible with iCardio. I've contacted Tech support and uninstalled-reinstalled the app twice. I'd really like a solution as I really like the HRM-iCardio combo.
