জানুন মুসলিম বিজ্ঞনীদের

আসসালামুআলাইকুম। আশা করি সৃষ্টিকর্তা আল্লাহ রাব্বুল আলামীনের দয়ায় সবাই ভালো আছেন। আমিও আলহামদুলিল্লাহ ভালো আছি।
আজকের আলোচনা হলো মুসলিম বিজ্ঞনীদেরকে নিয়ে। বর্তমান সময়ে আমরা অনেকই হয়তো মনে করে থাকি যে এই পৃথিবীর যা কিছু আবিষ্কার হয়েছে বা হচ্ছে তার সবই করেছে ইহুদী, খ্রিস্টান ও অন্যান্য ধর্মাবলম্বীর লোকেরা। কিন্তু এই ধারনা সম্পূর্ন ভূল। কারন মুসলিম বিজ্ঞনীরা যখন আকাশ নিয়ে চিন্তা করেছিল তখন ইংল্যান্ড, আমেরিকার মত উন্নত এবং বিজ্ঞান প্রযুক্তি নির্ভর দেশগুলোর আবিষ্কার হয়নি।
আসলে বর্তমানে আমরা যারা আছি, এই বিষয়গুলো না জানার জন্যে কারো প্রতি দোষ দিয়ে লাভ নাই। মিডিয়ার মাধ্যমে আমরা যা দেখছি তাতে শুধু অমুসলিমদের আবিষ্কারই দেখি, আর অন্যদিকে মনে করি মুসলমানরা বুঝি কখনো এগুলি নিয়ে চিন্তাও করেনি।
বর্তমান জ্ঞান-বিজ্ঞানের আবিষ্কারে মুসলিম জাতির ব্যাপক সংশ্লিষ্টতা খুঁজে পাওয়া না যাওয়ার কারণে মুসলিম যুবক তরুণরা এক ধরণের হীনমন্যতায় ভোগেন, যারা ইতিহাস জানেন তারা বিচ্ছিন্ন ভাবে আমাদের সোনালী দিনগুলোর জ্ঞান-বিজ্ঞানের অবদানের কথা উল্লেখ করে থাকেন। বিস্তারিত ভাবে উল্লেখ না করে কেউ যখন দাবি করে বসেন – আমাদের জ্ঞান বিজ্ঞানের ১০০০ বছরের অবদান আছে তখন অনেকেই জানতে চান সেই ১ হাজার বছরের মুসলিমদের বিজ্ঞানের কোন্‌ কোন্‌ ক্ষেত্রে অবদান ছিলো?

আমার এই এপটি সেই প্রশ্নের জবাবে তৈরির সূচনা করছি। আশাকরি আপনারা যারা মুসলিমদের জ্ঞান-বিজ্ঞানে অতীতে এবং বর্তমানে যে সকল অবদানের কথা জানেন তা সংযোজন করতে এগিয়ে আসবেন। সবার সম্মিলিত সংগ্রহে এই ব্লগটি সদালাপে আর্কাইভ হয়ে থাকলে ভবিষ্যতে যারা এই ব্লগটি পড়বে তাদের মধ্যে হীনমন্যতা কাজ না করে ভবিষ্যতকে নতুন করে বিনির্মাণ করতে সচেষ্ট হবে বলে আমার বিশ্বাস। আমার বা অন্য কারো তথ্যগত ভুল থাকলে তাও সংশোধন করতে এগিয়ে আসবেন বলে আশা রাখছি।

ইসলামী সভ্যতা যে বিশ্বের উন্নতির সর্বক্ষেত্রে সৃজনশীলতা ও আবিষ্কারের জনক, তা এক ঐতিহাসিক সত্য।
