Service Animal Airport Guide for Android
I have been using this app for a few years and it seriously needs an update. Many airports have now installed in-terminal relief areas and it would be nice to have those listed.
The locations are inaccurate at every airport I have tried to use this app.
This app has no maps showing where the relief areas are, just text, so it is fairly pointless. Add maps to make the app useful, please! Reading the text for airports I know doesn't even make it clear, much less airports I don't know. There are a few typos on the airport codes (i.e. Boston and Buffalo are listed with the next airport's codes on their respective location-text pages - must be someone skipped a line in the database or something). Also, I'm not sure why they have the ADA but not ACAA laws (they just have the DOT FAQ), as the ADA doesn't cover airplanes. I'm using this on a tablet and the ADA page doesn't zoom out to be able to read it without a lot of scrolling side-to-side (using Android's zoom-to-fit so the app looks like it is made to look; I haven't tried it on stretch-to-fit). With these issues fixed, it will be a five-star app ... but boy do I hope airlines have to soon have inside-the-sterile area (post-security check point) relief areas for service dogs! Outdoor ones are pretty pointless!
I wouldn't drag the app in the mud because it has no maps. I think it could still be very helpful. How many of us have asked an airline/airport employee where we can break our dog and the employee hasn't a clue or blows us off? This way we can be our own advocate and have the location in hand and can simply ask how to get to the location on the app. We could even have someone call us a skycap to get us there and back, since we know where we're going.
Just the ticket.. for the "on the go" working dog / handler. Full of all the best info on relief areas for that gotta go moment. I found this app to be great and I know that your working service animal will too.

This app doesn't include the bathroom areas inside security. I have submitted 3 different airport areas and they never get included. It's not useful if they won't update the info.
