وقد اصبح اعظم فقيه في البصرة وله اتباع عديدون كعبدالله بن اباض ومرداس بن حيدر وابي عبيدة مسلم بن ابي كريمة .ولقد اكتتملت صورة المذذهب الاباضي على يد الاخير واليه انتهت رئاسة الاباضية بعد موت جابر بن زيد وباشارته اسس الاباضية في كل من المغرب وحضرموت دولاً مستقلة وتخرج علىيديه رجال الفكر والدين من مختلف الدول الاسلامية آنذاك والذذين عرفوا بحملة العلم

ل الاباضية فرقة من الخوارج ؟

يجب اولاً معرفة مدلول كلمة الخوارج ،فقد اطلق بعض المؤرخين كلمة الخوارج اولئك الذين اعتزلوا امير المؤمنين علي كرم الله وجهه عندما قبل التحكيم ورضى به ،لانهم في نظر هؤلاء نقضوا بيعة في اعناقهم وخرجوا عن امامة مشروعة . ويطلقها فريق من المتكلمين في اصول العقائد والديانات ،وهم يقصدون بها الخروج عن الدين استناداً لقول الرسول عليه الصلاة والسلام :"ان ناساً من امتي يمرقون من الدين مروق السهم من الرمية " . اما الفريق الثالث :فيطلقها ويقصد بها الجهاد في سببيل الله استناداً لقوله تعالى : "ومن يخرج من بيتته مهاجراً الى الله ورسوله ثم يدركه الموت فقد وقع اجره على الله ".سورة النساء الآية 100

فإذا اباح بعض المؤرخين لأنفسهم ان يطلقوا هذه الكلمة "الخوارج" على جميع اولئك المتمسكين بإمامة علي المصرين على انها حق شرعي لايجوز فيه التردد وانه ليس من حق حتى على نفسه ان يشك في امامة اجمعت عليها الامة ولايتساهل فيها ،او يقبل المساومة عليها وان معاوية واتباعه فئة باغية يجب عليهم الرجوع الى حظيرة الامامة والامة اما طوعاً أو كرهًا بنص الكتاب ، فإذا رضخ علي لطلب البغاة ووضع الحق اليقيني موضع الشك ،وتنازل عن الواجب الذي اناطته به الامة وألزمته به البيعة فإن هذه البيعة تنحل من اعناقهم .فهم خيار بعد هذا في آرائهم .

الخوارج في نظر الاباضية

يرى الاباضية ان اطلاق كلمة الخوارج على فرقة من فرق الاسلام لايلاحظ فيه المعنى السياسي الثوري سواء كانت هذه الثورة لاسباب شرعية عندهم أو لاسباب غير شرعية ولذلك فهم لم يطلقوا هذه الكلمة على قتلة عثمان ولا على طلحة والزبير واتباعهما ولاعلى معاوية وجيشه ولاعلى ابن فندين والذين انكروا معه امامة عبد الوهاب الرستمي وانما كل ما يلاحظونه انما هو المعنى الديني الذي يتضمنه حديث المروق والخروج عن الاسلام وهو قوله صلى الله عليه وسلم : "ان ناسًا من امتي يمرقون من الدين مروق السهم من الرمية فتنظر في النصل فلاترى شيئًا ،وتنظر في القدح فلا ترى شيئًا ،وتتمارى في الفوق " . فليس في امة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم اشبه شيء بهذه الرواية من اولئك الذين عكسوا الشريعة ، قلبوها ظهراً لبطن وبدلوا الاسماء والاحكام لان المسلمين كانوا على عهد الرسول يعصون ولاتجرى عليهم احكام المشركين ، فأبطلوا الرجم والجلد كأنهم ليسوا من امة محمد صلى الله عليه وسلم ، ففي من نزلت الحدود في المسلمين أم في المشركين ؟
