Having come from South Africa and loving timber as I do, it's been pretty frustrating not knowing UK trees. Bought a little book but always seem to forget it at home so having this app in my pocket at all times is ideal and soooo much easier to identify trees... Well done guys, fantastic little app :)

The app is well designed and provides an excellent field guide. I only wish there was the option of switching the names on the main screen to the Latin as I'm trying to learn the Latin names. Otherwise good job

Downloaded only yesterday, played about indoors to familiarize myself with the workings and features. I walk through woods every day whilst exercising the pooch but it is only very recently that I've decided to take a greater interest in identifying the trees. I don't think the app will come into it's own properly until next spring when the trees will display more id features so I"m looking forward to then and sure the app will prove to be a great buy.

Excellent for the more common trees. Unsurprisingly not much help with exotics, but these are fewer and further between anyway.

unfortunately the phrase "don't judge a book by its cover" doesn't apply to phone apps. It looks and behaves like a first-generation iphone app from 5-10 years ago, and annoyingly it is lacking in basics such as landscape mode, which is unfortunate for tablet use. Also the images of the full trees from a distance are not high resolution, making them illegible/fuzzy on tablets. Also there is no full screen view for images. Quite disappointing for a paid app, but as the content is useful and there are no alternatives, I shall enjoy it on my phone in the field as it is still better than carrying around a field guide.

A good quality app to have on your phone we can all get caught out on ident. Hopefully they will expand the database.

Q70%
by Q####:

It's a great app because it's accessible. When you unexpectedly encounter a tree you wish to identify, just whip your phone out and hey presto. The quiz feature is excellent for learning species very quickly. The ui is a little clunky for these days but it's not a big issue.

Good app although could do with photos of trees, bark, buds, in different locations. For the professional you still can't beat Collins British tree guide.
