Mushroom Id - British Fungi for Android
This is a brilliant app to ID and log your finds. It was the 'sightings' part of the app which had me sold. What I would like to see in the next update is the option to change the map in sightings to satellite view. It would then in my opinion be a 5 star app!
I don't know. Took me all of five seconds to see a couple of inaccuracies. Chicken of the woods inedible? Really. And the whole "seek expert advice" for even mushrooms you can but in dehlis is just weak. Pictures are OK but not extensive. Overall just a weak app, better off with numerous free ones. I'll be avoiding their other offerings. Some fiduciary operation nothing more.
Used the app today to ID a mushroom in the field. Good description and photographs of lurid bolete. Will use app to make my walks with the dog more interesting. Would like the identification photos to be larger and expandable to make identification easier on a mobile.
Good description of fungi, nice photos, but I"m interested in wood decay varieties and there aren't enough included at present to warrant 5 stars.
Not a bad app at all. Some missing species, and edibility could be more accurate. Would love to see more details around other traditional uses for some mushrooms such as ones used for tinder etc.
Amazing app, but its deffinatly lacking alot of mushrooms. More clarity/certainty on the edibility would be awesome.
As a learner I find it extremely useful. Hopefully they can keep adding more
Very handy. I'd like to see more pictures of younger fungi where identification might be made easier. Utterly brilliant to have to hand and I hope to see it thrive and evolve.
Love this app but does need a bit more refining...some of the sugesstions for identifying are definitely nowhere close!! I hope more will be added
Not bad.. but I still find it very hard to accurately identify a lot of mushrooms I've found recently
Willow bracket doesn't appear, in fact The Willow Trees themselves aren't on as a search option
Well made! Well done! BUT...ahumm...wheres "my" psylocibin cyanenses and related family???
Easy to navigate and high quality pictures.
What a great app, I found this in valuable.
A very good app
Really easy to use to identify fungi. Informative.
Great app, very easy to use
Handy field guide
Easy to use and good photographs
Very useful

So far it has made fungi identification easy. Have use while walking in the forest and parks.
So very helpful when you're out & don't have to cart a book around with you. Photo's are very good quality
Good descriptions. Large number identified. Minor point photos should be larger as can't enlarge on mobiles.
Too many common species missing, three species in garden and not one on the database.
Ideal for identifying fungi encountered when out and about in the countryside.
Ideal to start learning fungi identification.
Pretty decent info
I'm going to give it a five star, because I'm into my mushrooms, and for 4 years I was trying to name one mushroom that grows on the side of the road near me I own countless books, but could not name it, with this app it took me 5 minutes, worst thing is its not for eating,
This app looks interesting at first viewing BUT the first specific species I looked for ( King Arthur's Cakes ) is missing and comparison with other apps shows this app to be lacking in species. I would like a refund please as I feel this app is not up to the usual Isoperla standard.
It was great. Thanks to this app I can now successfully hunt for these dank shrooms and fly
The best apps for identifying nature - I've got birds, butterflies, trees, flowers and now mushrooms. Excellent
Pics and info are really useful and presented well.
This is a really nice app but it does need more mushroom varieties to be listed on it. I used it today and most of what I found was not on the app. Looking at the index list I would say it includes around 150 different mushroom varieties.
Used the app today to ID a mushroom in the field. Good description and photographs of lurid bolete. Will use app to make my walks with the dog more interesting.
Have most of these Apps in this series i.e Trees Birdsong.Fungus and Butterfly's and Love and Rate them ALL highly.
This app is shy of describing edible fungi as such. Good pics, clear descriptions but.. Chanterelle and beefsteak bracket etc are edible.
Can't find any species that I have seen ie bracket fungus (white)when you search it gives you ground and floor fungi, bracket is at the bottom of the list and that is the wrong one

Great little app for helping to identify your basic and everyday finds. Also great for expanding your knowledge of the fungal world if you are not over clued up on it. A couple of discrepancies I've found but that can be remedied. Doesn't need saying but never consume fungus you aren't 100% certain of.
