Medication Reminder: Medica

I like the simplicity and function of this app, in regards to how my medications and doses are listed. It is very handy when you are speaking to a dr, nurse or pharmacist. However the badges function is incredibly irritating. I am an adult, not a child. I need reminders in my extremely busy day to get medications in on time. I do not need to tell facebook that I did it. Also I really dislike the exit out of the app. Because it interupts the page you are reading, when you exit out , I would expect to go back to where I was...like in any other app. But this app returns to the home screen. Such an annoying little detail! Those two irritants cost 2 stars...

Changed alert sound. A pill alert program has alot to do with alert sounds. I have had this program for a very long time and your removed sound was not annoying but enough of an alert. Sorry for the rating. This app is one of the best and I might add most updates and well run apps out there. The developers truly care and work tirelessly to make sure the end user continues to get the best performance and support . I have not found one better. I have just become accustom to the old alarm and will need to figure a less annoying alarm than the new one. Thanks for a great app.

Good app, but snooze function doesn't seem to work. I've reinstalled this as it's the best one I can find, but if I have to "Snooze" a med, it never rings or alerts. Do not understand this. Help please, because I like it!

I take alot of meds and vitamins twice a day and more on fridays. It is tidous to check every one of them as taken. I can't turn of the alarm as soon as it comes on and it can get annonying if I am in a meeting. It jyst is not working for me.

It keeps going off at random times. Just a bit ago at 4 am, it alerted me & I marked "take" & took my pill. Went downstairs to make a snack & at 4:17 am it was going off again. Ran upstairs because my husband was sleeping & shut it off again by selecting "take". Ran back downstairs to find my tomato soup had boiled over! This isn't the 1st time it has gone off unexpectedly & it's extremely frustrating. Also, when I select " take", nothing happens to my daily score. It shows I've marked "take" for all 5 of my daily pill reminders, but will still show that day as a score of 3 or 4/5. I've had the app for less than a week, but I've never had a score show 5/5 even when I've taken them all and it shows that I took it as well. Unfortunately, I have to delete it because I can't deal with it going off at random times. This is the biggest issue. My 2nd reason is due to the score always being inaccurate. Time to search for a new one.

Best most simple and effective pill reminder I've tried, and I've tried ALL of them. Thinking of getting the full version.

The alarm reminder is a little annoying in free mode. it's really loud and persistent.

Great for reminding me to take my meds. Wish there were more options for types of doses.

When marking a medicine as 'taken', it doesn't always stay that way, causing a lower adherence score at the end of the day.

Won't enter anything but name without taking photo. No way to turn OFF alarms. Forget it.

Appears reliable. That's a big plus for me.

Notifications need improving for while you are using the device instead of exiting the app you are using, regardless of what you are doing. A pop up notification card is what is needed. Edit: this is not fixed in the latest version. I said a pop up notification card, *do not exit the current running app*. If you are in the middle of something that is time critical, I do not want to deal with my apps closing and then having to explain to others why my app closed during critical times. I only need a notification, not a full screen launch alarm. If medication is time critical, we need warnings prior to the time so the meds can be ready.

I have cerbral dementia, a brain disease that affects memory. I take medications for this and other medical conditions. This little app is crucial to helping me take my Rxs, on time. Especially my medication for my dementia. Thank you for this app. My wife works and I am home alone during the day. Because I love to use my tablet, this app helps keep me on track-every day with my medications. I highly recommend this simple, yet vital app to others who need help remembering important daily needs. Thank you. mds

I originally got this app in Dec 2016 and at that time I was able to set medications for more than once a day. I don't seem to be able to do it any more. Not a good thing when you ate taking multiple meds that are several times a day. Would be 5 stars if not for having to enter the info so many times.

One day the app just quit making sounds for the reminders. The phone is fine and all volumes are up. When I go into settings and I go to pick sound effect you can't hear anything there either. The only thing it will do is vibrate the phone if you use that option. Without the reminder alarm it doesn't do me any good. Any suggestions?
