This is an outstanding app, unique in its features and ease of use. Used it for quite a long time; it's wonderful. Highly recommend. There are some improvements that need to be made as well as some that would be cool just to have. The developer has not upgraded in a long time & I have concerns that it won't be supported in the long run. That's a real problem if you have taken the time to enter hundreds of books and notes. The developer has been admirably quick to respond to email, but has taken no action.

I originally was using another app but I needed something so I could sort my books and still put in books that I have read. This app has it all. I am so glad I found this app. I don't know what I would have done. The set up is really great. The only downfall is the fact you can't scan every book because they don't have every ISBN in here. You can still find the book but you have to go through and edit it changing the ISBN if your like me. Besides that it is absolutely the best book sorting app I found.

No csv export and no export/import/backup/restore of any kind functionality is a deal breaker for me. Suppose I will spend hours cataloguing my books. Then what? This catalog will live on my phone and will die with my phone. And considering very few sorting options, this collection would hardly be of much use to me on the phone either.

Feature wise, this app has 90% of what I'm looking for. The UX is terrible confusing and unclear, though. I also wish there was an easier way to share or publish my library so other's can see and request to borrow. Seems like a good version 1.0.

I enjoyed this app a great deal until, not even a month of using it, the book cover pictures all disappeared or changed to other book covers. Will be uninstalling. I was really excited for this app. I kept track of books I read to my daughter on google docs in a plain old document and loved how I could categorize this and have pictures. Unfortunately it does not seem reliable. I stress over disorganization and don't want to spend extra time re doing every book. That's hundreds of books.

Why am I not able to download the cover pages anymore? Codex used to download them effortlessly earlier but now I have to take a picture of each book cover.

Best app for tracking my library, used it for a long time. It no longer downloads covers and I have to hunt them down manually, very annoying. Wish it would get fixed. Using galaxy note.

Requires Barcode Scanner specifically, which doesn't work on my phone, though others do. Will try the app again when it can use the default scanner I've set up.

You couldn't ask for more in a free app. But the ability to sync to a master file, perhaps stored in one's google drive or Dropbox, would be worth paying for, especially if it could be used to provide access to the whole family.

Excellent. Excellent...But not all scanned or entered ISBN found the book information. Search by book title usually found information well though,so very satisfied. Now able to defer to my Codec library on my phone to see if I have already read the book before buying

The application works just as it should but [1] It's not easy to enter the information on books not in the system (since I cannot edit in bulk, it's very time consuming to use: entering the summary, series, authors) [2] most books don't have covers (makes the lists I've made very ugly). [3] I cannot add the book automatically to my wishlist as I have to save the book first then go to the wishlist section.

Sorry, i have been trying a few of these apps out. No matter hw many books I scanned, this app couldn't find anything whereas the app "Book Catalogue" scanned a box full of books in minutes. Sorry. You might need to fix up your databases or something?

K70%

There is no option to ignore particles at the beginning of titles like "the" or "an." Scanning ISBNs shows the number scanned but no book info it's added. It just spins.

K70%
by K####:

Tried the app. Unfortunately, scanner only works with barcodes, I guess? Worthless for book ISBNs, which I wanted it for. Found a better app that worked (Book Library).

Good app but I can't figure out how to import from or export to a CSV file.

This is the app that I, an avid reader and collector of books, have been looking for! So much better than the others!

K70%
by K####:

This application is very handy and it recognizes all the books I have. unfortunately it doesn't download most of the book covers and cannot be used online with the PC

K70%
by K####:

Almost great. Reasonably attractive, very powerful, with good options for adding books, and an export feature, which is always appreciated. But the title search does not turn up the best options compared to other apps, and it would be nice to have an option to crop cover images in-app.

D70%
by D####:

The only problem I had with this app is that it didn't tell you before you filled out all the information that you were duplicating an entry. So if you are loading books and you double one, you won't know until you've done all the work already.

K70%
by K####:

Abysmal failure. No import option csv, or otherwise. This app was poorly thought out to remove a basic function. Again horrible product. Fail.

K70%
by K####:

Overall its a simple to use app, biggest let down is most images of covers are not there. I guess poor database.

Y70%
by Y####:

Over 800 books entered and now it won't export due to error: not enough space or something - please check the file name - aargh! Cover search completely useless.

Very easy to add books. Just two steps. No typing. One issue is book by default is marked as friend's book unless ticked my own book option. It should be other way round.

If you love books and want a fast, easy way to organize you collection, you need this app on your tablet or phone. Easy to use. The "Add By ISBN " feature works well, though I don't recommend the bar code scanner (couldn't get it to work). There are useful filters for viewing your books by author, title, category, etc. You can add books to wishlists and add the store, the price, and the address. Keep track of loaned books, too. By far the best book organizer in Google Play Store. I would have paid for it!

Love this library app. Slow to add books as they must be done singly, but very versatile once recorded

There is no way to download this list to save and/or print. Also the scanning doesn't always bring up a picture of the book, even recent books, so I had to take pictures of each cover. It then stored those pictures on my phone and when I needed more space I found those pix, deleted them and now all my books have different covers.... goodbye codex hello BETTER app

Is ok as far as it goes, but is not ready for prime time. A search by ISBN, sorting alphabetically, condition field, first edition check box, all would be appreciated.

Quite helpful in organizing my library, just started scanning, got over a thousand to go. Looking forward to knowing what I have :-)

Tried lots of others. But this works the best for me. However I need to transfer the data I have entered to a new device. Is there a way to do this as I have almost 400 books catalogued and don't want to do have to capture all again. Any ideas please
