Iridium GO! for Android
This app is poorly written and does not support anything but the most common screen sizes. This has turned into an expensive exercise to resolve. I would suggest another satellite company's product.
Tried everything. It logs on the first time. After that whatever I choose from the menu it jumps back to the logon screen and says NOT LOGGED ON.... I tried flight mode as suggested etc. No luck..... Very frustrated. This is a simple ap that should just work....
The app is clunky, it doesn't login all the time, sometimes taking may tries hitting the login without any feedback. The messenger portion resolves names very poorly, and doesn't separate the messages by logged in user. Cool tech when it works correctly.
- There is no option to delete a syncronized contact from Iridium Go, except the device factory reset. - There is no shutdown option. You should Force Stop or uninstall it, when you want to close. It is good and simple anyway.
You have a problem with Android O in the wifi connection and registration
Would be GREAT to be able to use WhatsApp with this.
Great app.
Good
Looking fwd to Iridium Next Network.
I LOVES this app especially for us Angels, I was wondering when your technologies would catch up, even just this tiny bit, still, Good job;-) :-)
Works well on my galaxy note 3 as long as you follow the istructions to put phone in airplane mode and then activate the wifi, wont connect otherwise.
Thankfully I scrolled down and read some of these reviews. I could not get my S5 to connect. It works now by turning on airplane mode and then connecting to to iridium go's WiFi connection....I was going crazy trying to figure this out until I scrolled down and read a prior users comments. Haven't used it much yet....but have made a test call and sent an sms....it works so far... :)
OK, if you have a newer Samsung device and can't log on (I'm using a Note 3), put your phone on airplane mode; turn off bluetooth; turn on wi-fi and then connect to the GO.
App simply does not work with Galaxy S5 (android 4.4.4). Works fine with IPhone 6 and Nexus 5 (also with 4.4.4).
This app works with Galaxy Note 4 with Android 4.4.4, but not 4.4.2 on a Note 3 (9005), said it couldn't connect to Go!. Upgraded the latter to Lollipop and the app now works
In order to link your Samsung S5 you need to make sure you turn on airplane mode then go to your wifi setting and look for Iridium-XXX once you connected to the Iridium wifi signal you should able to log onto the Iridium Go! app. The issue is you can't have your cellular carrier active and use your Iridium Go! at the same time this is why you get the log in error. Hope this helps!
Good
Keep getting a login failed when connected to the device. Have spoken to Iridium and my vendor and they deem ny device defective. Default username and password will not authenticate. Tried another device and it works.
Only good for text messages don't waste your money if you are expecting anything more. Calls are expensive and the Internet connection is super slow.
IOS: When using the iPhone 5 or 6 and the latest version of IOS you can not edit the emergency contacts. You must do so via the web interface. Android: you can not login using the Galaxy S5, the most popular device for power users today on this platform.
Great app.
Awesome .......

LG G3 has issues placing calls or even logging in to the GO. Could sometimes get to the dial screen after long delays or multiple cycles of the app only to have it lock up or log me out. Even booted my wifi connection to the GO. Have not been able to place a call successfully.
Doesn't work with s5 period! Iridium is selling a bogus product and should be ashamed. Works with iPhone 5. Iridium customer service is horrible.
After a few connections with my Samsung G5 the app locks in the "please wait" mode. I can still get to the GO view a Web app with 192.168.0.1. I power cycle my G5 an app starts working again for about 30 min. or 4 power cycles of the GO. UPDATE 8/22/14 - Discovered that bluetooth to the app on G5 also has audio issue of no receive audio during call. Nexus 5 an G3 were OK. UPDATE 8/28/14 - The LG new smartphone also has issues the same as the G5. It appears this app is not mature with new phone.
Very nice app

Very nice app and an interesting way to configure the IridiumGo! device. It would be nice if the tracking frequency could be set under 5 minutes (3 minutes would be excellent). !!!For those who have login problems, just wait a few more seconds before submitting the login dialog!!!
