nabtrade for Android
As a disgruntled former customer of CBA and CommSec, the awfulness of this app leaves me no choice to go back to using CommSec until NAB significantly improves this. They need to go back to the drawing board entirely. This is a very sub-standard app from a big 4 bank.
Downloaded as I had hoped the bad reviews were either overstating or there had been an update. Honestly this the single worst app I've ever used: slow: scrolling is the opposite of smooth. Layout is terrible. I would give zero stars if I could.
The app is slow, unresponsive and unusable. I often can't find securities I'm looking for, the refresh rate is horrible and it is almost impossible to place accurate purchase orders. You are unable to see your linked cash account in the app.
I am mystified that an organision with the resources and profit generating capacity of NAB could present this app as a viable solution to mobile online trading. Installing the app on a Samsung S7 because yet again the Nabtrade site was unresponsive, I found it slow to non responsive, completely counter intuitive and failed to even display the current share price on my portfolio page. I have uninstalled it and am converting to Commsec. Its the old 1 step forward 2 steps backward shuffle.
Come on NAB. Your desktop/ browser based platform is excellent, but it is time to get the mobile version up to scratch too. Maybe head over to the Westpac mobile app for ideas... coz this is rubbish.
Absolute rubbish. Don't bother installing. UI sucks, it's slow and clunky, and you have to re-login each time, (no remembered username or simplified PIN secure entry). Dumb dumb dumb. How do big companies have such bug filled apps?
One of the worst apps i have ever tried to use. I say "tried to use" as this app is so usless that once signed in you are greeted with a screen that looks straight out of the 80's. How the NABtrade website can be so good and easy to use and yet this app be so bad it's beyond me.
Pointless app with amazingly bad interface. I binned it after 5 minutes, 4 of which I spent questioning myself if I had downloaded a phlishing scam site... I then realized most scam sites are better laid out than this one.
This app needs a major update. It is so slow and buggy. Click on a stock and all you get is a black screen. Please fix asap. Commsec is looking better every day. ????????
Useless app, will be switching to another system if NAB doesn't do or even say they are going to release a decent app. It's 2017 NAB and this app isn't up to scratch, do you read the reviews here? Your going to lose another customer soon.
For a large bank with industry leading tech this is terrible. This should really be a responsive version of the website. If you want to facilitate more trades I suggest a slicker experience.
Can't even load my nabtrade watch list, can't see my own portfolio. Is this actually from nab? Or is it fake?
Does the person who approved to put this in production still have a job? Basic functionality like a portfolio view throws an ios error!? No use for this app uninstalling now.
Interface looks so amateur I'm concerned it's fake. Does not have enough NAB branding to create reassurance. I can't see where to make a new trade. Information in my portfolio is too limited. I want to see: nicknames, total value, current stock price, my cash accounts. I have been using chrome on my phone to access nab trading online. There should have been a notification on the site linking to the app. And the website should be mobile friendly.
The app is slow, unresponsive and unusable. I often can't find securities I'm looking for, the refresh rate is horrible and it is almost impossible to place accurate purchase orders. You are unable to see your linked cash account in the app.
Useless app NAB thanks for pushing me to Commsec way to lose customers. Get your act together. I should of learned from all the reviews. But dont worry lesson learnt now.
When a company changes name the app does not bring over the costs, so profits are grossly overstated. Complained to the trading department twice and just ignored. There are better third party apps.
I would never expect an app this bad from a major bank ike NAB. Its virtually unusable as its slow buggy and wont run smoothly. I came to NAB because their rates were better but i think i will have to go back to comsec as their app is excellent
Tells me i don't have access to an IOS+ account. Didn't bother looking any further after the 3rd time. Don't bother
Worst bit for me is not easily knowing exactly how much cash I have to invest. Very frustrating.
Easy to use interface. Every 2 out of 3 times I open the app, it doesn't load properly and I have to exit and re enter the app.
Lacking in so many ways.. Short of personal expectation and short of competitors standards.
Really difficult to understand the logic of the interface. Data was inaccurate, impossible to trust or make decisions on. Best to rethink this one NAB.
Absolutely atrocious trading platform. Very hard to use and incredibly slow. Also very disappointing to look at....
Is this the best NAB can do? Almost as if they have made this as difficult as possible to work with. Very counter intuitive.
Just about the only pro is the style/layout. How hard is it to pull prices directly from the ASX, decimals and all? If the app contained proper prices, didn't randomly delete my watch list every so-often and had a dedicated tab for 'my account' in which I could review my stocks and buy/sell more, it would be a 4-star app at least. Don't waste your time with this, stick with the website until it's usable! NAB are lucky they have good web designers, because the coders of this app are complete numpty's!
Would give zero stars if possible
Terrible UX design and clunky, limited functionality. Can not use as a trading app.
Bad interface, lack of functions, difficult to navigate. The worst amongst the big 4.
Clearly an afterthought to the rather good nabtrade website and nab mobile banking app, this is a clunky limited counterintuitive underperformant experience that smacks of being done on a budget by a 2nd rate development team. Certainly not up to the quality or polish you would expect from a big 4 bank.
Jesus Christ, did you get the work experience kid to make this app! Its so bad it makes my head hurt!
After waiting years for a nabtrade app it arrives and it's terrible. Can't update cost base for securities transferred from another broker. Why can't it sync with the web version? ...and where are my international holdings, market value =0?!
Now i have to change banks just because NAB can't produce a suitable app for trading. How can a trading app not even have total market depth!
Simply not working. Unable to login.
Once I log in I'm stuck at a loading spinner icon. I've tried this on a multitude of networks to no avail. Useless.
Worse trading app. slow, not give warning in case of insufficient fund. not deleting the order after it is completed...
Interface is like working on windows 95...slow .old..not much options.doesnt feel like andriod..
Password field is restricted character length . Cant even put my secure password in.
The newly updated app looks alot better than before. Amend order however does not seem to work. Once in the amend page, I can't get my keyboard to appear no matter where I tap

Horrible, horrible app. Poor usability, ugly, poor responsiveness, data-poor. A lot like nabtrade web actually. I really can't believe that in this day and age, a bank places such a low priority on having decent interfaces to their share trading platforms, amazing. Frankly I'd rather pay slightly higher brokerage to CommSec for their vastly superior offerings (both web and mobile).
