Trip Journal

To document trips it worked well including pictures and text. Problem was matching picture with text explanation. Also the worst part was the inability to export the trip. Got a new phone only to find out the 2 trips I had used the app on wouldn't transfer. Had to take pictures of all my entries to save them. Will not use this app again.

I was very disappointed with the way this app worked None of the tracking worked and none of my notes posted.

Unable to export trips. Pictures not associating with places. Worked fine last year.

I cannot access previously archived trips on the app from my new phone. Any tips to import them?

Use to be good now nothing about it works properly so it's with regret I'm having to find an alternative.

Photo and sharing functions are broken...

I have been sending feedback since July. They still refuse to fix this app. Poor customer support and service. Poor app!!!

I LOVE LOVE this app, but it's 3 star for a reason. These are: The feedback option doesn't work. All help does is take you to a limited instructions manual. Finally, most annoying is that I can't upload photos to a place unless I take them at the time via the app. The app itself is fantastic.

That best I've used so far, but please add an option to change location order on the list: if you forget to update for a few days and then add new locations, it doesn't anyways add them in tnr right order if done from the map, and since order can't be change, this involves deleting them and starting over which is fairly annoying

Not able to import multiple photos is a down side would be worth 2 stars other than that I think it's a great app

Way to ruin a great app

Trying to find an App to SYNC with FB. Cannot export to FB

I couldn't see the data that will be shared since whenever I click on the Facebook Connect button, it throws an error that the link is invalid. Please fix.

Just a straight line between places I've never been. The GPS has a good fix, but this app doesn't get it.

I was on a trip and tried to add photos after the fact and I could go through the motions of choosing a photo, but it would never attach it. This is disappointing because I'm not going to always use the app to take the photos for the journal.

Apparently this is no longer being supported by the developers, judging by the lack of response and or lack of updates (since 2012). The option to remove inter-black lines between waypoints/places is needed like the iphone version. Its the one feature holding this app back from being a go-to-app for all my travels. This ruins the whole experience! (Currently using a Galaxy Note 2 handset)

Nicely made ap. Can't change the location of waypoints. Exportingto pdf would be nice.

The photos I take are bit associated with my trip! Waste of money! No response from development team on the issue.

Best travel journal on the market,I am impressed by the UI and the set of features. The export to facebook works well!

It's got potential but right now, I'm wishing I hadn't bought it. I tried the free version without testing the export functionality. I assumed it would work. Unable to export to ANY of the available sources and it abruptly closes too often to live with. Needs serious attention before I change my rating.

Got 403 error when trying to install or update...

Since last year I have not been able to access the Facebook app so I can embed this on my site. That was the ONLY reason I paid $4 for this. No updates from them except to brag about the occasional positive review from a reviewer who didn't check out the Facebook flaw! No support and no feedback! Has TripJournal been abandoned? Fix this flaw before your negative review get to high.

Clearly this now incredibly outdated and obsolete has been abandoned, with over 11 months since the last update.

Great way to record my trips and take the fuss out

It is cumbersome to Register the route...while busy changing trains...etc. While very simple it takes so much to create a basic event [waypoint, picture, Note] as to be cumbersome. Needs a lot of Post-trip input, to get the pics and share...by then it is OLD news...

I would like to share my trip (Facebook) but it doesn't work. Please fix it !

Such a great idea for an app, however it no longer works with Facebook, and no response from support after several attempts !!

Not enough functionality for it to be useful for me. Tried using it during a 3k mi roadtrip to both show the course of the trip and manage photos. The course on the map looks silly because I didnt plot enough points, photo management very limited. Would have been more practical to jot some notes on paper and take pics with phone camera for ease of sharing.

Bought this app for big trip to China with family. Kept it up to date everyday and posted to Facebook. When arrived home found that my journal is only good for me to see on my phone because the facebook page does not work. Very disappointed i can't share the journal despite 3 weeks of entries. Findan alternative.

...it feels abandoned by the app's developers. If all you want is document where you have been, as you go along then the app will do the job. If on the other hand you might want to use your phone to snap a few pics and add the best to your Trip Journal later, then you'll find this a big pain in the bottom. Generally the app felt slow to respond, a bit awkward to add content or places after the tracking crashed. And sharing, forget it. Sharing to facebook took forever and instead of showing a little map of where we've travelled it only pumped out the pics. Sharing by email kmz map took a lot of explaining to do with my parents. The biggest opportunity is to make the app slicker, faster with better sharing and post trip editing.
