webget for Android
Does not work at all. Needs work
It will be great if you add username n password
you can pass a url using the browser 'share' '...' button
The only one I use 5 stars
Awesome, the Linux part
It's a useful tool
Bad bad half downloads every time
Does what it's supposed to without fluff.
Does just what it says, no stupid integrated browser or multi threads, just a file downloader. Would be nice to set download location permanently.
It does what I need it to do. Very simple. I think I found a small bug, when I put my phone in landscape view, the downloads will stop and the app will force close. As long as I keep my phone in portrait view, it does fine.
No more, no less. No feature bloat, no ad spam. Thanks!
A small and simple tool in the Unix philosophy — thank you!
Good idea to provide simple appication to download files but this app doesn't support self-signed certificates.
1. Very high CPU usage 2. Cancels download if you click any place beside the download pop up 3. Slows down at least twice when you send it to background
Does exactly what it says. Basically wget with an Android GUI, which is precisely what I needed. Thank you!
(NB: you can pass a url using the browser 'share' '...' button...) This works well, but lacks two things: 1) notification item in system notification list, 2) auto-rename if duplicate exists
Can't detect different port on href urls
Works great for single files, but unfortunately doesn't seem to work recursively. The "retrieve hrefs" option causes errors where the subdirectories don't exist.
Is your phone being an asshat? This simple app will fetch the file you want and put it where you want it. Just what I want in an app.
Needed to download multiple files in multiple folders from a website - perfect!
not smart to manualy delete every time the http:/ when pasting an url.
it would be useful if this app registered itself as a browser, so that an app that knows how to pass a link to an external browser can pass it to this, then webget should silently just grab the item at the linked URI using default settings, perhaps with a download queue listing :-)
Simple to use, seems to work well and quickly.
I get a java error with everything. And it just hangs on large files, doesn't do anything. When I come out of the app to do something else it cancels the download (the download it never started coz it was just hanging on a large file) I love and use wget on Linux everyday but this is not the same!
Simple and functional - the way I like 'em! But it would be nice to be able to set the default destination directory.
Kinda useless for any medium or large file. Even source code.
Does just what it says, no stupid integrated browser or multi threads, just a file downloader. Would be nice to set download location permanently.
I love this app. I was going to make a similar app that used the wget binary because of the lack of such apps in the play store. Great job dev! I use this all the time :)
Downloads files successfully. Don't worry if the progress bar disappears, it still works.
Works great! If I may offer three suggestions: 1. Add a cancel/abort/exit option. 2. Maybe an option for previously used local directories. 3. Show actual file size during download.
I doubted there would be an app for this but I was wrong lol
App does the very minimum of wget, but it does work! href is confusing perhaps a help file or reference to wget's -r or -m (--mirror) options would help out. I'd like to see a way to abort a download.

Top notch! I wanted wget, and this does exactly that. Used it 4 times so far, and just _know_ it will be a mainstay.
