Wag! - Instant Dog Walkers & Sitters for Android
Great service. Usually the asap walks happen an hour to an hour and a half after you request it. I have had some issues with walkers getting in, but the customer service is great and usually work it out.
This app is excellent! Its interface is easier than Rover. I love how you can get a walk as soon as possible. That is something that the Rover app did not offer. I have had great Walkers and I have had no issues with any of them. The walks are a little bit more expensive than Rover, but it is worth it. You can even choose to have your dog walked 30 minutes or an hour. I will continue using this app and I would suggest this app to anyone who is looking to have a regular dog walker.
This service is awesome. The app is mostly stable but sometimes it gets a little wonky I switched to iPhone and that version of the app has some cool features and discounts I wish had been offered on android as well. If they keep thriving I trust that they will keep improving the app. I didn't care that much about the app because the service is so good. The walkers and their support are very responsive and timely.
Great idea, learned about it from some vloggers i watch. Had a great walker my usually nervous dog was so calm with her. Biggest issue was the first walk free, credits expired early and when i got the credits back there was no option to apply it within the app. But the customer service is fast and responsive, this might be some android issue as it looks like the app doesnt function like ios version for everyone not just me. With how responsive the cs is i cant imagine their not working as fast as possible to get matching functionality. Love the ability to text cs, my schedule usually doesnt allow for lengthy cs calls
First time using wag walker and you can't go back and look at the notes once you've already clicked on the "on my way" so I didn't know the code to the gate because I couldn't go look at the notes. The location was off for the apartment so ispent a good 10min walking around trying to find the right one so i was late. Also you can't share the code on Facebook with android. It just freezes. Other than that it was a cool app because it times you on the walk and shows it on the map.
The service and people are amazing. The customer service team is excellent and any issue I have is resolved within an hour. The walkers are also excellent. Each person has a short intro video and bio so you can learn more about them. I also appreciate the ability to select preferred walkers who I have used before and know my dog. My reason for not 5 stars is the app UI. You cannot scroll through a text field to edit which makes writing detailed instructions in your profile difficult. I would really like to be able to scroll with my finger to read/edit my instructions for entry and edit them as they can change. The back button does not work for navigation. The map does not always display properly post walk.
Amazingly efficient, convenient, and a report card about the walk with a picture. I can schedule a walk for my pup if I am running late, he seemed antsy, or as a treat. Wag! Walk has been a life saver! Loyal customer for quite a long time. The walkers have all been very nice, my dog happy to see them, and gave great feedback.
I texted about scheduling a walk with Laura, she's awesome. And well, it was the best customer service experiences I've ever had. I sent multiple pictures of my derpy little dog and was just blown away with Samantha's customer service. Very professional, yet very lively about my dogs. I highly suggest anyone with a dog to this app, great purple here. And I'm not the one to write lengthy reviews. You guys rule.
Wag Boston: Android app has a lot of bugs! No ability to zoom on live track, can't scroll up or down on progress reports, huge lag time when toggling though the application.... Wagg in general has great customer service and is so useful for unpredicted times.. Love the service, but would really like to see the android app updated soon
I am a wag walker in Sacramento. So far i really enjoy it. Some times a map of Africa shows up after you click on my way. There for you can't go any farther without contacting wag for support. I love there customer service any time i have an issue or concern they have always being there. I have had so many wag walks i think i have 52 walks nows. I love it. The app is different on android than i phone. I have an LG and never really had any major issues so far. How ever you do need to check your find walks a lot to see what is coming in so you can get them. Once you click on accept a walk you may not always get it depending on who clicked on it first. I think once a walk is clicked on then it should be removed. But i am sure in time wag will upgrade a few things. But all in all wag is great.
Love the idea, wish it wasn't so expensive. I could pay for a full day of daycare for that price, but I do like it as a last minute option during the day if I get caught at work and can't make it home to let out my puppy. Have had really good walkers so far, and all of them have given timely and detailed report cards.
Android app has sooo many bugs. Being a walker, having it work well is very important. App hardly ever syncs up with the notifications. Walks don't pop up on the 'find walks' but they come up as a notification so its usually too late by the time you click the notification. Wag support hardly answers you, if they do its 2 hours later. Too many walkers, not enough clients. App definitely needs an update. Gave it 2 stars bc when it does work, its really nice.
The app is really convenient for booking a single or reoccurring walks. I like that I can book a walk ASAP without an upcharge. All the walkers are great with communication and will go the extra mile (e.g., give a scoop of food after a late night walk). I'm looking forward to more enhancements to the Android version.
I can't rave enough about Wag. From their amazing customer service, to their extremely user friendly app. Are you in the middle of no where with poor internet connection? No worries, text their Woof Support line. I was worried my pup was dancing round with her legs crossed. Wag to the rescue with a dog walker within an hour. You don't realize how comforting it is to be able text them and get prompt response from a live human being. They are on top of everything to ensure your pooch is taken care of. I got in real time updates, pics and videos of my pooch. They even contact me about free walks every once and a while. In Chicago, there are a lot of dog walking services. However, they have earned my loyalty for being such an amazing service. I'm surprised they are not a 4.5 star rating.
The walkers themselves are awesome. The app has some bugs. Sometimes it doesn't work for them or us. There is no simple option to cancel or change walks and when I've tried to do it there way they don't communicate with their walkers. I like the convenience but don't like it's clunky low tech feel.
As a dog walker with the Android app, I have not been able to book a dog walk yet. The notification doesn't make any sound, and there's no way to change it. The only way you are notified of a walk is if you are staring at your phone the entire day. I click on request as soon as I see the notification and it says "confirming..." And then doesn't get booked with me! So frustrating!
Amazing customer service. Quick responses. If you use it frequently you get rewards here and there like a free walk. Never have had an issue with any of the dog walkers that have come to walk my pupper. Fantastic app! Sometimes I don't know how I would go without it.
My girlfriend and I wanted to check Wag's prices a few months ago, and they don't let you do that without signing up for an account. We thought they were too expensive, so we canceled after maybe a day. They did, however, put one of their lockboxes on our door. We've asked them multiple times to remove it and they've stopped responding to our emails about it. Been going on for months and all I want is this godforsaken lockbox off my door. One of the most frustrating app companies I've dealt with.
I became addicted to Wag when I had a foot injury and could not get my pup the exercise she needed everyday. Even now that I am healed up I love being able to book a same day walk on days when I need to be at the office longer than usual. I love the report cards, tracking, and photos!
I earned 3 free dog walks for answering some questions about a friend who was trying to get hired with the company. I have YET to get a walk because they say they are limited on walkers in my area. They have canceled two requests now (most recent one I put in a week early). They say they will confirm within 20 mimutes, that is a lie. Submitted the request last night and didn't hear anything until this morning. Also, I've requested to receive the free key lock box twice now and it never arrives. Poor first impression of a company. Will not be using or recommending in the future.
I downloaded this app and scheduled my first walk, so I am not rating the company's service but the app itself. The interface is horrible on an Android! I can't scroll up or down in my dog's profile or in the instructions I leave for the walker, and I can't view any of the walkers' videos in their profiles. I have an iPhone for work so I tested it out on there - this app was cearly designed for iOS with Android as an oversight and a half-a** attempt to service Android users. This version does not allow you to book anything but a 30- or 60-min walk, whereas iOS app shows 20, 30, 60 and overnight options. It also does not allow you to set up a recurring walk schedule with the same walker. Basically this app allows you to book in a very cumbersome way, and that's it. I'll stick with using my work phone solely for the Wag app.
If you want to get bombarded with texts then download this app give them your phone number and I guarantee you will get slammed with mass text messages. I signed up first day I got at least 5 messages then the next few days after that at least got two messages a day and there was no reason for it it was ridiculous nobody should be getting a text every day for signing up for a service or an app nobody
All of my Wag! walkers have been wonderful. And having such a convenient way to hire walkers has saved me so many times. I would recommend Wag! to anyone with a busy schedule who wants caring people handling their pets.
The app itself isn't terribly stable, has tacky design, and can use an easier date picker interface. That said I applaud the quality of service tremendously. The SMS messaging with customer care is instrumental. I'm always taken care of with courtesy and smarts within minutes. Being able to request a walker anytime has been super useful. This business is thoughtfully run and it shows through all the customer touch points.
One walker broke into my home illegally after locking the keys inside. Another walker left my keys sitting on my stairwell with the dog bags for some reason, and the worst one literally PRETENDED to walk my dogs and was caught him ON CAMERA lying about walking my dogs and spending time in my bedroom! Wag still has him as a dog walker in my area. This company literally cares nothing for the safety of your home or the welfare of the animals inside.
I love wag! As a flight attendant it's hard to stick to a regular schedule, no matter how hard I try. With each delay, or diversion, Wag! Has been there for my fur baby. I love the updates I get, and that I can follow the walk live walk when I'm sitting in another state.
The customer service is attentive, flexible, and quick to respond. My large dog needs to be introduced to strangers, to avoid aggression, so it was important to me to have the same dog walker each time. After a few text exchanges, they happily arranged the same guy to be the only one I request. The lock box is also a great feature!
Love that I can get a last minute walk when necessary and love that I get a picture and notes from my walker, I use them regularly. App just needs a little work, has some bugs and would like to be able to manage my preferred walkers on my own. Otherwise, has been a life saver in a pinch and always follow through on scheduled walks. I have messaged customer service in the past with questions and they have always been friendly and quick to respond.
As a walker, this app is not friendly at all. They force you to find cover in stead of just cancel your request because of their bugs. They protect the dog owners but not walkers. Have to fix a lot of bugs and freezes.
I want to stress that my experiences with Wag! has been great! This review is about the app so I hope Wag team members are actually reading this and making improvements... 1) I dislike that the app forces me to rate and tip the walkers and I can't do anything else within the app until I complete those steps! 2) the Android & Apple versions are not created equal haha I'm not able to retrieve the walker's contact through an Android device. 3) Android devices have a "back" button so please incorporate that into the app to make it easier for users to navigate. Or maybe have some testers and developers compare both the Android & Apple version side by side to see what can be improved.
This is the best app ever to quickly book my dog a walk at last minute! I haven't had one problem using the app or the website to book my dog a walk! All of their walkers I've had so far are amazing and friendly!
If you're used to this app on ios, be aware that the android version is very different. I am unable to change scheduled walks and still have to do so through my ios app. I wish the two platforms could be similar. Also I don't like how the 20 min walk isn't available on android, only on ios.
This app makes my life easier. Customer service is very responsive and eager to make it right. Sometimes the app suffers from bugs. I don't think it works best on the Android operating system, but it's still a great app.
Unable to modify my pets profile. Have to have all dogs walked at the same time and unable to cancel the walk. Customer service called me back and fixed all my concerns. My first wag was great.
I really love this app about 2 months ago I had some minor surgery that required stitches and the wonderful dog walkers from wag made sure that my sweet baby boy was taken care of. I had a bit of difficulty figuring out how to request a specific Walker but I called the technical support line and they were very helpful walked me through the process step by step!
I live this app. They have great walkers, my dog loves them and they've always answered any questions. The support team is great. I'm very particular with who I let walk my dog as most dog owners are.... way is awesome
I wish the navigation was smoother. I'm a fan of using my back button and it doesn't work in the app. I would also like to be able to review what I've tipped and adjust if I accidentally hit the wrong one or didn't tip at all.
The Android app is pretty awful... It's glitchy and almost impossible to edit walker instructions; every time I ask for my walker's phone number they say check the app but I have looked and I can never find it and then they admit they don't know where it is either; sometimes it actually does the walker info and sometimes it doesn't; the notes get caught off so you can only read like half of them... I used to have an iPhone and the app was great but this one is just awful. Pleeeeeeeeease fix it!!!
This is for the walkers app. There's no place to rate it. It sucks majority. Basically useless bc I get notifications of someone seeking a walker but when I click that notification it takes me nowhere. I never see any available walks on the app and I texted and emailed their support and nobody has responded in the last 4 hours ...im missing out on some money making opportunities because the app doesn't work

The app is terrible. I don't even know where to begin. I would literally tear apart the whole thing and start over. It's so frustrating using the app I contemplate even using the service.
