Open Climb is a mobile app that lets set your own indoor boulder problems, share them and climb on those set by others.
HOW IT WORKS
Simply take photos of an indoor bouldering or rock climbing wall with your phone, touch the holds you want to include and save your climb so you can share with others.

This is a Major release for Open Climb! we have some major changes to our app along with a lot of little fixes.

* New way of selecting gyms that all but eliminates the map view.
* French translation of the app (Version française disponible).
* Password re-set ability.

Great app! Perfect for smaller gyms where you run out of routes before re-sets. Hopefully will add a route rating feature along with a feature allowing you to check off on routes you've topped? Anyways, i'm happy!

Looks promising. However, despite having a 4g connection (the list of gyms shows up on search, as do the ads), when I try to add a gym via Can't find gym, it tells me to enable internet.

The idea is great, but couldn't find any gym that has routes set. It would be cool if you could see recently set routes by other users so you don't have to search through the map

Great potential, but a pain to use. Needs to have a better UI / UX. adding holds is not the easiest, and is confusing. I have few ideas on how to improve it, so if development is curious - send me an email

Great idea. Would also like to use it for my home woodie. When I set a problem on my home wall and hit save, I get an error message "no climbs could be found...".

You should add a feature to be able to share routes youve set or done with specific users who also use the app. So that when i finish a climb i can share it with a friend rather than him having to find it himself.

After the two remarks I made about gps and image gallery I would like to propose another couple of easy features to implement. 1) allow for other grading systems (at least Font, since in Europe the Hueco scale is almost unused). 2) you could add some more specs to the problem style such as "dyno", "morpho" etc. Besides that cool idea and implementation.

Great potential. Think it would be good if you could favourite problems you wanted to try and had an option to tick them off as you did them. Me and a few friends at my local wall started using this recently and we've already added nearly 20 climbs so it could get a bit confusing trying to work out which ones I've done and want to try next. Still a great app and idea though with bags of potential.
