VT Fish Diaries

It can often be difficult to collect recreational fishing data that accurately reflects angler pressure on fish populations throughout Vermont. VT Fish Diaries is a citizens science app that allows anglers to contribute their anonymous daily catch data for lakes and rivers around the state!

This app was created in order to provide both anglers and fisheries scientists with a platform to collect and analyze catch data. Anyone can view the data on the website and sort it based on waterbody and timeframe in order to determine both the health of the fish population, and the angling pressure it receives. The purpose of this app is not to give away good fishing locations, but to determine the overall impact anglers have throughout the state. All submissions are entirely anonymous, and users are not able to view individual entries.
