Majuli Assam

Majuli is the world's largest river island, it is a culturally rich island bestowed in abundance with nature's beauty but also susceptible to ferocious floods every year. The Majuli App is an initiative of the Majuli District Administration Team led by Sri Pallav Gopal Jha (Deputy Commissioner, Majuli) to virtually map the broader Assamese culture including the mainstream Vaishnavite culture, Missing and Deori tribal life styles; the rich flora, fauna and heritage of Majuli for convenience of tourists with advanced features such as GPS enabled destination maps. It entails relevant information for tourists and act as a digital guide. The App is not only informative but also utility based as it is loaded with lists of important service providers such as bicycle rental service, scooter/bike rental service, home stays, hotels, lodges, cottages, restaurants, ethnic hand-loom,food and beverage joints, nature view points, automobile mechanics, pharmacies and much more.
