Intugame Gear VR for Android
I'm using the Gear VR and an S6 Edge the issues I found were the screen image seemed far to close and made me feel nauseous. If the image seemed a little further away and in wide screen this would make for a better experience for the end user such as my self
Not enough options. The screen is distorted on all resolutions. Can see anything except the center of screen. Absolute garbage, there is much better and more customizable out there. 1/5 for being useless.
Gear vr with Samsung Galaxy S6, worked immediately im not sure what others problems are getting it to work. Standard setup for gear vr settings made it impossible to see anything displayed on edges of screen, but some fiddling in custom settings made it better but not perfect. Quality on ultra was phenomenal. My only qualms are with input vs screen output lag, with a small amount between phone screen and PC any twitch games, ie shooters, racers, fighters, just arent enjoyable, this was made worse XB1/PC/S6
This app just doesnt work. You most likely wont be able to set it up before your ten minutes of free time is up. I cant buy premium because I doubt it will work. This app cant work because it doesnt allow the occulous software to load in the gear vr. Its a scam, vaporware as best as I can tell.
Bought a Gear VR. Got everything working on my PC. Tested with the test client. All is good on that end, however I get into the Gear VR app and its just a grey screen. The mouse tracking works but i can't see a thing. Tested on normal app aswel, also nothing. If you could tell me how to fix this issue. I will likely purchase the full app.
Doesn't start at galaxy note 5. The Support team provided me with access to their Quark VR which is working via Oculus. The little problem is the lag via WiFI. I used completely standalone router (300 mbps) without internet only the PC and phone connected. Everything worked perfectly, but there is some lag. If this is fixed in the future or USB cable option is added I will give 5 stars. Regarding the support - first time I'm receiving support about issue that fast.
I really like it. I like where it's going, it can become great still. I understand why they can't get in the full realm of vr. But I like where it can be, however the relation between "head tracking" and real head tracking are 2 different ideas, using vr to replace the mouse would have it's own latency issue. But I think that the screen needs to be much smaller. Like Netflix and Samsung internet, large and customizable. Theatre size, get rid of the head tracking and if possible fixing latency, & love it!
The test program installed only trouble shoots the note 4. The drop down menu only has one choice, it did not include any other phone support.
It work when I lunch the app but I can't see nothing because the image in not set well whit the Samsung gear vr and the Samsung 7 edge..
doesn't work with my note 7 and new gear vr 2016.
After an initial success, it now crashes every time I plug it into the gear vr.
Linking the phone with the desktop application was seamless, however the image displayed on the Gear VR is scaled horribly, and there is no head tracking to speak of. This leaves entire regions of the current desktop application outside of the viewing window.
Using S7 edge and the app won't even open
doesnt start with note 7 and new gear VR
Wont even startup om my s6 edge plus lol
absolute trash.
This app is in alpha at best!
Not working after 7.0 update on s7 edge.
It wont open the app :(
NOte 5
head tracking didn't work for me, no way for me to research to fix it. it did stream anything form my desktop to my phone but nothing was in 3d it was all flat. i found that the only way to stop latency was to create a wifi network between my phone and pc, but the lack of head tracking flat rendering and the fact that the app does'int show in the occulus library made it way to little of use and a hassle at that.
It is promising but It lags for me that I can't play. stream theater doesn't do that. maybe because stream theater is using nvidia stream and my question why this app developers didn't choose to use the same instead of reinventing the wheel? I'll revise this review if things changed.
This app seems to have so much potential but the problem I faced with it was a little lag the screen and pixel resolution. The screen wouldn't fit the vr goggles and the resolution kept going down my eyes began to hurt from straining them trying to see people to shoot
It worked once, took my goggles off and it won't work any more, there is a screen but I can't read it, it has some red text but its unreadable through goggles and the app won't open without them. Uninstalled, restarted, cleared cache, nothing. And a lack of support here looking through the reviews.edit: got it working, but it wont work with battlefield 4, it wont show a full screen, head tracking is inverted. DO NOT BUY FULL VERSION
The demo version worked well then quit opening on my Galaxy S7 Edge phone and I assumed my free trial time had expired. So I downloaded the paid version and it won't open at all. No help from the vendor to fix this.
It wont open on my phone NOR pc.... this sucks
Application won't even open
Simple setup, just install on both devices (pc and Samsung phone) and then just play. BUT I decided to check out the extreme latency settings. First I set it to ULTRA settings which resulted in latency. Then I decided to try out the LOW quality setting and there is no latency with the windows 10 game Killer Instinct. Now if we can get a slider view as the image is too big and should be defaulted to half.
Gear vr does not support usb tethering and this cannot communicate over wifi with a computer, did you do any QA before releasing this? Ok after I set windows firewall to allow this it connected, still the utter lack of documentation for a product you are charging for is pretty horrid. I think I will stick with stream theater.
So this app does 'work', but it doesn't appear that you can use USB Tether with the Gear VR, and streaming over wifi just creates a ridiculously laggy experience making the app unusable. Also the image is only rendered in 2D so i'm not sure what the point is anyway. This app has potential, but it seems massively unfinished to me so I'm glad I didn't pay for it.
I got it working fairly easily, but I think I'm doing something wrong. Windows 10 with a samsung s6 edge plus, when I try to play a game, the image on my gear vr doesn't quite line up. Even tried windowed mode, no luck. I'm pretty sure this is user error, which is a shame because I would buy the full version in a heartbeat if I could figure it out.
Terrible frame rate, absolutely useless for its intended purpose.
I used this with a Samsung Gear VR (v2 released 2015) with a Note 5. I tried this on Everquest 2 (11 yr old MMO), Portal (Steam), InMind VR (Steam), and on Youtube 360 videos (which it has a setting for). It mirrors the screen 'okay', but there isn't a way to enable your mouse pointer, which is a big downfall for things like MMOs or RTS games. Likewise, it scales the screen up large which makes seeing UI elements in the corner a pain. Head tracking doesn't replace camera movement in most games unless you specifically play a game meant for VR, even if the game has stereoscopic support. EQ2 has 3d support, but not VR support, so the camera was still moved by the mouse or WASD with no way to re-map to head movement. Likewise, Portal didn't head track. InMind VR moved with my head, but it seemed like moving my head and moving in game didn't sync up, which led to the camera being 'off' over time with no way to reset it. Youtube 360 videos didn't head track at all. Every game featured massive frame rate loss, and the Gear VR can't be tethered so as of right now there's no way to get around this. The games I tried, even the 11-yr-old MMO, were so choppy they were unplayable.
If there was an option to view mouse pointer as well as being able to zoom out so we can clearly see the edge of the screen. It would be great
Sadly the latency is too bad to enjoy. Adding USB support would solve this.
I have tested two VR streaming apps and this one so far works great. I tried it in my Samsung Gear VR and played an Xbox One game "Killer Instinct" on my headset. I did this by streaming my Xbox to Windows 10 pc & then streaming it to phone with this app. I learned how to make screen smaller so I could view whole screen. More options are needed but so far so good.
I'm using s6 edge, when I try this app, it keep blinking the screen at the intugame page, and my pc side, the icon is always gray, please tell me what to do.
I have a powerful PC and wireless setup at home, but frames are delayed by over a few seconds. Not very usable.
How do I need to start this? When I trying to launch it it says plug the phone into the gear vr if I plug it, then it's launches oculus home. how to start it ?

I couldn't see the mouse on the screen, no head tracking. Showed only some of the desktop, and i had to position the game window in a way that the part of the desktop shown on the vr was taken up by the game. I also had to change the color of my desktop so that the edges not covered by the game window didn't look bad... needs lots of work, but this is the second app that kind of worked so far.
