About Intrepid Explorer
The word ‘intrepid’ comes from the Latin, intrepidus, which literally translated means 'fearless, daring or bold’ and the word ‘explorer’ comes from the Latin, explōrāre, and refers to ‘a traveller, adventurer, voyager, globetrotter or discoverer’. This seemed the perfect title fit for the object and aim of South Africa’s new outdoor travel and adventure magazine.
The Intrepid Explorer is the first of its kind in the outdoor adventure and travel sector as a custom title linked to the oldest and most prestigious outdoor store, Cape Union Mart, that have 73 stores around the country. It’s a great read which can easily compete with its counterparts in the consumer sector.

In the wise words of Mark Twain, “Twenty years from now, you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.”
Live the life of adventure!
