Interval Timer - HIIT Training for Android
A simple interface with high customization of workout routine. You can create complex circuits. You can also create gaps between each repetition which is something I didn't found any where. I used it for my physio and it really helped me keep tab on various routines. It also keeps history of all the trainings you did. Exactly what I needed
I keep getting ads popping up and interrupting a pre-planned workout. No point in keeping it as I really need it to work without 1minute long advertising interruptions?
With patience you can use the complex edit mode to create any interval set plan you desire. However, creating more complex plans, like repeating pyramid sets, is a laborious process and could be much more user friendly. This app is still better than any other interval timer I have tried to date.
I haven't rated it five stars for the following reasons, It lacks a 3-2-1 voice countdown at transitions (also low sound levels). Fix this and I will rate it 4 stars. I can live with ads but audio-video ads louder than in-app sounds are annoying. I like and use the app regularly for its customisable functions and graphical representation of workouts.
Works great as long as your screen is on but not if you lock your phone to save battery. I was disappointed that the timer didn't work when my screen was locked.
Been using for a while and I love it. Only thing I'd improve is having the set/rep visible on the landscape view as well as the portrait. Love it though
Does everything you need. Customisable, easy to use. Regular bug fixes. Not bloated with useless features. Recommended
Just glitches in the free version, which is annoying
I have been using this app for a month or so ... 2-3 times a week intervals with my bike and indoor cycling trainer. Very flexible ... I have 3 routines set up and saved and can just select the one I want and am off and going. Very nice!
On each intervals notifying alarm or bell sound is too low while playing songs from play list. Need separate songs volume and notification volume. And all rest time not to be even bcz some time rest takes 1 min some time 15 sec it varies. So make changes upon this.. thanks
Woudl be much better if there were a paid version to remove adds, and if you could have more controlls (and view more info) when in landscape view.
I really like this app but I can't not figure out how to make more than one interval cycle and I don't like that because I need the times to be different
Works great for Jiu jitsu rounds and interval workouts. I like the ability to use different sounds for the round bells
Works for me. Lots of options to set timers and doesn't use up much space or battery power on my phone.
I love the fact that you can customise it to your own needs and still listen to music !..a simple but effective app
Paid for the pro, then when I had to install on new phone, had to pay to remove the ads again!
It a nice app at also looks good, I am giving four star because it does not have sync with Google fit, I will suggest to add sync google fit
I use this a lot in my workouts and never had any issues in its use. Highly recommended. A+
The only reason I can't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't track my miles, if it did that it would be PERFECT!
The timer has an option for complex workouts where the intervals may not be the same throughout. But I prefer using it for the simple workouts with constant intervals. Great for tabatas and amrap.
Best thing right now to motivate me and keep me disciplined in my cardio .. great application
A few tweaks needed but fully functional and supremely useful
Easy to use. Have the free version, so far no glitches.
Used it because my physiotherapist recommended it for HIIT and kept using it for my basement boxing gym.
Simple interface but can handle a plenty expansive variety of workouts. No problems with it. Only tweak would be able to sync with more music apps. Very good.
After reviewing a number of interval apps, this one works well for my work and recreational needs. Having the screen lock is great.
Unlike other apps, it allows you to set up multiple different interval times for one workout and save the workouts.
Didn't play sounds when changing intervals. Might as well just use my stopwatch.
Im getting ready for comp & majority of my cardio is hiit to preserve my lean mass.. this app has helped in my results
I like that I can set intervals and different times for different trainings. Took a bit to figure out how to use but once I got it it's been pretty easy.
I set my phone on the treadmill when I run, and use this app to run intervals. It always works smoothly, and the intervals are super easy to set up.
Very easy to use and gives you several options on how the timer is set up!!
The best interval timer I tried so far! Thank You so much!
I like it! Customizable, for complex circuits. Only things I would ask for: - easier / more seamless editing; instead of having to open each "cycle" as a different page to edit, maybe some controls can be accessed from the sort of homepage for the whole circuit. - enabling changing names of the high and low interval (sometimes the low and high are different workouts altogether - maybe allow customizing colors! :) Love this! Thank you. Though work on your logo too! It is not so appealing.
A year after my ACL reconstruction I wanted to get back to running. I had a physiotherapist do a running assessment with me and a few of the things she suggested was a interval running program as well as the use of a metronome for cadence. This app runs in the background as my metronome app will not so I can easily do my intervals. I love how easily I can change the intervals and how I can customize it for the high and low interval and rest periods.
This timer rarely works. I used it for running and it will just stop and start during intervals randomly.. Half the time the high interval doesn't work steadily and the alarms aren't loud enough.
I paid for the pro version of this app years ago. The developer decided to stop providing updates to that version in 2013 and now only updates this "free" version, basically making me pay twice for an ad-free app.
I had this timer back a bit ago when i was using my iPod. Worked great. When I got the Galaxy phone, I thought this app would have been great. I downloaded it, and had no problems setting it up. Only complaint I had at the time was the volume of the interval sounds when listening to background music. I could not hear it, which pretty much makes it useless as I do not stare at my phone while trying to do intervals or circuit training. Now, with the update, the volume issue seems to have been resolved, but another one has crept up. Seems as though if pause the session at any point, the warning sounds become mute for the rest of the session. This also happens if I change settings mid-way through a session. Change the sound from bell to airhorn, and I am forced to restart the app because the sounds will no longer play. Very annoying to the point of uselessness.
The sound is much improved but the interval cycle title needs to be much bigger under the running timer so that you don't have to stop what your doing to check what the next cycle is!

The best part of this app is the amount of settings that are available to users. I've had issues with the sounds not alarming when during workouts, but I believe the update remedied that issue. If you want more options, then purchase the app.
