About Mobile Alert
Interaction between residents and their local authorities is increasingly important. Hexagon Geospatial’s Mobile Alert is a free, easy-to-use smartphone application for reporting issues of public concern to the local authorities. These issues can include anything from graffiti to road problems such as potholes and broken signage.
The application has an intuitive interface, which allows the user to complete a report and send it off to the Hexagon Geospatial cloud service easily within a few minutes. The reported alerts are then redirected to specific local councils based on territorial boundary data.
Once the Council receives a notification, it will then determine how to best deal with that alert.
Use by the Public
Anyone can use Mobile Alert to send an alert containing a photo and location information about issues they have identified within their communities. There are 11 standard categories and one general category of issues available in the application. The application forwards the alert anonymously to the appropriate council authorities once per day. It is free to download for the general public.
