Muse

I've been meditating for a while now without Muse and I'm hoping to gain some new insights into how to better my practice. So far nothing stands out. I have high hopes and high expectations (considering all the positive reviews). I've been using the device and app for a week now and haven't experienced anything extraordinary. Hoping to soon once sessions go a bit longer.

I've been trying to learn to meditate for years but failed until I got Muse. Great product.

Good that option added to mediate when Muse doesn't connect, hence streak remains intact. Requested to integrate option of custom meditation mp3s.

Headband not visible by Bluetooth on Android 7.0 (Galaxy S8)...

What happened..? My unit won't pair anymore since this last upgrade...

what an amazing way start a meditation practice

A great start

This is really awesome. It's helping me concentrate, meditate, guiding me for better performance. How could be better? By the way, I have ADHD and is no fun at all be distracted along the day with zillions of informations that bombard our brain each second.

Muse initially worked on my Android phone when I first got it, and it was awesome. Then with no prior warning they broke the Android version with a software "update" that disabled graph zoom - arguably the most important feature in Muse. They refused to provide a track back to the prior version of Muse Android - which had WORKED. Now the Muse is worthless to me. Their "solution" is that I'd have to go out and buy an iPhone or iPod device for 4x the price of the Muse itself, JUST to run their app. Uh, no.

Ive spent the first 15-20 minutes of my meditation trying to connect the headset to my galaxy 5. The only way to get it to work has been to uninstall the app and then reinstall. This falls well short of my expectations. Not worth the money I spent at this point.

The android app doesn't allow you to use the app without the headband, Apple does. Which means if you have a android phone and want to do a ten minute meditation but the headband isn't close to hand you can't. Which for me means streaks are pointless. Shame because I really don't want to carry an ipad around in the off chance I want to use this app.

This rating is strictly for the current version that's just been released. Downloads freeze at the end. Headset calibration just shows a blip of waves just once then nothing. Anyone test this stuff? Response: Thank you for responding. I've adjusted the rating back as the recent update fixes my issues. I'll be sure to use the email address you've given to report bugs quickly over there.

Perfect product. Help me a lot to be more efficient on meditation. Very easy to get in touch with developer. They ate very conscious.

This is a great app that shows me how much my brain has calmed down since I started using it.

Looking forward to showing it off to friends in the new demo mode!

Great software coupled with great hardware. I have been practicing and teaching meditation for years. The Muse experience is fun and functional! Keep up the incredible work!

This app has motivated me to incorporate regular meditation in my life. It's worth every penny in my opinion. Some problems connecting but I normally just open up my phone settings then Bluetooth settings then go back to muse and it connects right away. I wish there were more backgrounds. Great buy for a beginner meditator like myself.

Wonderful idea behind the app and sessions themselves are awesome. Connecting to the headband is so difficult and takes so, so many tries that it's an exercise in patience before the meditation even starts. It always connects eventually, but it's never easy. I love muse, just wish connecting wasn't such a frustrating ordeal.

Works horribly with my android phone but very well with the apple phone I use for work. With the Android it will not stay connected and the music or beach sounds stutter which is extremely distracting when your trying to meditate. I bought the muse to use with Android but am thankful that I have the apple for a backup

Worked at first w/crashes, newest update worked twice, then crashes started and now app crashes before can even start so Muse device is useless! Tried on a friend's iPad and that version is beyond words better with many more features and stability. May have to return Muse since can't also afford an iPad. Very unhappy. Must fix this app! And give Android the same features as iPad!

Loved it at first, but the hardware is total crap. My wife and I each have one, so it's not just an unlucky purchase. It randomly refuses to connect via bluetooth, so you need to unpair and pair. If your lucky you only need to do that once. Not fun when your trying to grab a quick meditation. After the last software update, it doesn't work at all. Save some money and get an app that does depend on buggy hardware.

The device is not stable. First it was hard to pair with my iPhone, then I tried to pair with P9 Huawei. It worked for few sessions. At time when it successfully paired with the phone but the app showed no pairing. Really frustrating. Poor quality !

The app is amazing! It would be great if there was a social component - see how are others are progressing, group challenges etc. Is that on the roadmap?

Sign up button is non functional on Xiaomi MI5, and while sign in button appears to work, there is no way to sign up online that I can find.. So it isn't usable!

Can't get any intro videos to play, I tried it on both my Android phone and my pixel tablet. Hard to use without directions!

Maybe I don't know how to meditate but since the latest update I've never been able to get to the calm state, before I would stay in that state for 30-50% It feels like it became too hard for me and it's becoming frustrating instead of helping me to meditate more

App version 4.1 is terrible. Previous version was better.

Good feedback for your meditation. Custom options to tailor your meditation noises to your preferences.

Would have given 5 stars if android version had similar options as ios. Otherwise it's a great device and app.

Why is the Android version bounds and leaps behind the iOS version? It's kinda ridiculous that they aren't on the same page by now... I'll increase my rating when the app gets an update. UPDATE 1/1/2017: Muse released a special holiday update for iOS users... Meanwhile, us Android users are left in the dark... The Android version looks like a prototype compared to the iOS version.. I am very disappointed and do not feel happy as a customer. PLEASE UPDATE THE ANDROID VERSION!!! >:( Update: They finally came out with an update and it's great! :)
