750 Años Concejo de Murcia

El 14 de mayo de 2016 se conmemora el 750 aniversario de la constitución del Concejo de Murcia por Alfonso X el Sabio. Con este motivo el Ayuntamiento ha organizado una serie de actividades en torno a este acontecimiento que se iniciarán el 14 de mayo, fecha del documento, Privilegio Rodado, otorgado por el rey Sabio a la ciudad de Murcia después de la conquista castellana.

Las actividades previstas se prolongarán hasta el 30 de mayo de 2017, festividad de Fernando III el Santo, padre de Alfonso X el Sabio, y monarca que encargaría a su hijo, el entonces infante don Alfonso, la conquista del reino de Murcia.

Las celebraciones se han estructurado en dos períodos. El primero abarca del 14 al 31 de mayo de 2016, con una serie de actos que se celebrarán principalmente en el casco urbano de la ciudad, ocupando calles y plazas de la misma, coincidiendo con la XVII edición del Festival Murcia Tres Culturas.

El segundo período se desarrollará lo largo del próximo curso académico, iniciándose en septiembre de este año y concluyendo en mayo de 2017, con la organización de actividades en todo el municipio, contando con la participación activa de todos los Centros Culturales y Auditorios Municipales, para intentar llevar la celebración de este aniversario a todos los ciudadanos de Murcia. Este período finalizará coincidiendo con la XVIII edición del Festival Murcia Tres Culturas. The celebrations are divided into two periods. The first comprises from 14 to 31 May 2016, with a series of acts which are mainly held in the urban area of ​​the city, occupying streets and squares of the same, coinciding with the seventeenth edition of the Festival Murcia Tres Culturas.

The second period over the next academic year will be held, beginning in September this year and ending in May 2017, with the organization of activities throughout the municipality, with the active participation of all cultural centers and municipal auditoriums for trying to bring the celebration of this anniversary to all citizens of Murcia. This period will end coinciding with the XVIII edition of Murcia Three Cultures Festival.
