Binfo Cardiff for Android
The collection date is always a week ahead and doesn't change when you switch between next and previous collection. What does next and previous mean anyway?
Doesn't update and notifications don't work. What's the point?
Useless, alerts that never work.
Absolute garbage, pardon the pun.
Doesn't work
The SMS service still exists! Go to the Cardiff Council website, you'll find the service under the Waste Management section. This app is terrible, uninstalled and went back to SMS.
It doesn't do the one job I need it for.
Handy to be able to check recycling calander. Notifications worked on one of the first versions which was the best feature but have not worked for last few updates! It's only a simple app, get it sorted!
installed on phone and tablet. data always on yet never get notified of collections. set to alert at 6:30 pm. have to rely on calendar. worst app I've seen and testing it solutions is my job
It only worked the first week I installed and I've not received a notification since. Really disappointing that this replaced the perfect txt system. I will reinstall to see if this improves matters. #Update# nothing improved after the reinstall.
This App replaced a text alert that worked. This DOESN'T work.....so back to bin collections missed, bins left out and not emptied. This is progress? Is this an example of making a change because it's cheaper...pity effective trials weren't carried out.
I set up the reminder, but it hasn't worked once. Can use it to look up which bags to put out but that is about it. Agree with other users that the sms worked fine.
If you're going to replace a system it's probably best to test it works first! How about using the millions of pounds you're making from bus lane camera's to improve this app so that it actually function's as it should.
This is completely unusable. A 10 year old could write a better app. Bring back the SMS alerts please.
Error messages when open app. Notifications don't work. Tidy Text was much more reliable.
This replaced a text message to alert about bins, after weeks of trying different times etc, it still don't alert, so if no change in the next week or so it will be uninstalled, pointless keeping something that don't work!!
If this app was a physical entity it would be put out for rubbish collection, which it fails to notify me of!
Its dont work no more. Worked once now it dont. Please get it working again.
Loads of errors appear
There is no close facility on this app! Why?
I have not received any notifications since I installed it. Instead I have to keep remembering to manually check the app to see which type of waste to put out. Clearly worse than the old text service.
Doesn't give reminders, defeating the point entirely. If I could go back to the automated texts I would in a heartbeat
Even after the latest so called bug fix update this has not fixed the alert function in this app. So I stand by... Bring back the text message system that never failed once. The alert function in this app has never once worked. It's only good for a manual check. Who ever signed this off and said it worked and was ready for public use should be sacked. This is not even good enough for beta testing. Cardiff council should be ashamed to offer this as a replacement services when it does not work.
Tells you when your next collection is and what will be collected. It's a waste collection app, it works and is extremely simple. It does have an alert function which does not work, probably due to incompatibility with different devices - doing alerting properly may be a fair bit harder to do than most people realise. Anyway, just use one of the countless other apps to set a reminder for 6pm before your usual collection day. Which the app will happily tell you.
I opened the app half hour ago. Perhaps because of this I actually got notification at 18:00! Blimey, in a bit shocked it worked. Follow week.. No notification because app hadn't been opened. This app needs permission to work in background like an alarm clock
Notifications don't work. Wouldn't mind, but if you miss a collection you've a month's worth of waste hanging around. Particularly grim in summer. Useless, using a third party reminder app instead.
I really want to like this but having given it a chance over a number of months, I just can't. I think I've had three reminders so far since installing when it was first launched. Really disappointed with the service and that it takes up wasted space on my phone!!
Alerts still don't work. Also now it is stuck on last weeks collection dates. Keeps saying refresh but that achieves nothing. Just keeps getting worse
The app has a habit of switching itself to NOT sending notifications apparently at random. The text message service is still available (including smartphones) and is much more reliable.
Only useful for manually checking. Alerts still not working. I wonder how much of my council tax they wasted on this.
Not worth it Doesn't notify you like it should, opened the app to check the current collection info (25/05/17) and was showing me the info from the 11/05/17!!! Useful? Not likely!
Will not log onto server and app looks and feels like if was written by a chipmunk on L S D, will not load data and the chipmunk who wrote this should be shot
Doesn't give alerts on a regular basis if it does it's not within the time you have set It used to b reliable Not now
Bug after bug after bug, so sorry you must b*g off. Rubbish - literally...
The reminder doesn't work, this is not progress from the text alert, rubbish (!) App!
Text alerts were good but this allows you to change location easier if moving or looking after a sick relative. It's not the most attractive interface but works.
Just the type of app people want on their phones. Keep the text reminders service going instead of this. The app itself is terrible too.
Pointless change from the text alerts which always worked and were discreet and no hassle. This is basically a cumbersome ugly app with very limited purpose. Totally unnecessary.
Why waste our council tax money on this? Not everything needs an app... A simple SMS was fine. It looks like other councils are using this which usually means a developer has landed a nice deal.

Nowhere near as good as Tidy Text was. That never failed.
