Instapaper for Android
The concept is great. Certain areas I need to go where I'd like to read at times have terrible signal. Instapaper solves that by downloading them to my phone. It works really well... ...mostly. I don't know about the latest update, but until today, it crashes whenever Android unloads it from memory. It's irritating. But its support for IFTTT makes it killer. I pointed it at my favorite tech news site's RSS feed and it takes care of the rest.
While it is works when it works, it does have a tendency to regularly crash which is annoying. Recently, they made a change that u can't copy text which is horrible and am writing this here in the hopes that they will return that capability. Please.
So disappointed
This is my "read it later" app and has has been for years. At this point it's my library where I keep things I want to keep and read again. It's rock solid, well designed and always a share button away. Great little app!
I don't want to be negative, but I couldn't open the app yet. It crashes every time, literally. Nexus 5X (7.1.1)
Good concept with a hit-and-miss execution. About half the saved articles are empty once opened - a "reload" feature would come in handy. Other than that, it looks gorgeous and does a great job of losing the clutter.
This app's UI needs to change. Otherwise it's really good. Unlike Pocket, it's not friendly, and intuitive. Hope they take our feedbacks seriously.
Love this service, but the current app users an extraordinary amount of battery power. Must be a bug and will rescore if it changes in the future. At the moment I just cant have it installed.
Used to be terrific but app is really showing signs of age. The text selection problem has been fixed but it's no longer possible to copy text to clipboard.
First, sometimes articles that I saved are just a blank page. Second, there is no way to organize your folders, they are in chronological order of when you added them, but I would like to sort them in alphabetical order or in a custom order. And third, some articles from newspapers apps does not show the date, I have to use the "open in browser" button to see the date. Also for most articles the layout is really disfunctional, it shows at the top a bunch of useless stuff, like the share buttons, but it takes a lot of space, and the main text is at the bottom. It's really disappointing because I don't have most of these problems with Pocket, but I like the simplicity of Instapaper and I want to use them both. Most of these problems are easily fixable I think.
What happened to this app? Losing some articles that are saved for later. Go back to read them and they're gone. Also it chews up data pretty good. Please fix this.
It is a great service with better reading experience compared to pocket. But the Android version lacks read time indicator by minutes, sort by reading progress functions. If those can be added this will be a perfect app.
The development on this app has been on hiatus for years. It's riddled with bugs and ancient UI.
Good reformatter. But an app for offline reading which persistently replaces articles by blank screens or fragments isn't much of an app for offline reading.
Decent App. However If you guys add functionality to save specific answers from Quora ( where you and Pocket both suck) and add TAGS functionality ( where pocket rocks), you will blow all the other bookmarking apps (including pocket) out of the water.
It is generally very good, but sometimes pages are incomplete and I can't even scroll to the bottom where the feedback section is.
Some saved links don't display at all, shows up on tablet but not the phone, it's very annoying.
CAN YOU PLEASE ADD THE FUNCTION WHERE I CAN COPY INDIVIDUAL WORDS AND PHRASES SO I CAN BE ABLE TO TRANSLATE THEM? I WOULD APPRECIATE IT. THANKS
Best offline reader I ever used but images in my articles keeps on crashing I think an update should created with a redownload all image feature the update of instapaper should automatically create instapaper folder in our galleries the folder should contain all the downloaded images in our articles so that we can view them within instapaper an out of instapper I have been waiting for the feature for a very longtime because I really love instapaper, instapaper will always remain number offline reader if my suggestion is added as a feature in all updated versions of instapper
Smooth app to save any kind of articles or blog so that you can catch it up later. I'm a regular user of this app. It's even on my home screen. Great work by the developers
Copy on selection is disappeared in this version. It's very inconvenient.
Lack of label/tag function to be used to categorize articles. More advanced note taking features are appreciated.
Clean and minimal. It saves all my articles for my offline consumption. You can read it via web browser as well.
Does not copy In selected text?? Please fix it.. Ist very important.
Great UI and great centralization with a browser-add on and app. Perfect for reading articles on the fly and archiving things to read.
It's way less cluttered thank Pocket which I love! PLEASE add small white scrollbars in the dark modes!
I can't log in. My username and password work on the Web and iOS, but not on this Android version of the app...
Best to save thing to see later but has some time error
I downloaded the app but I can't create folders to store my artickes
cannot select successfully
Pretty good app for reading articles offline. I wish it could capture copied links though.
Buggy and any article with over 50 pages gets scrambled when downloaded
Really miss the text copy fuction :(
Loading tales too long.

Articles already loaded always have to reloaded! Frustrating. Text sometimes isn't complete. Sometimes when you open the app after a few hours. You have to re-download again. Then the file you just re-downloaded would also have articles that is cut in half :/
