KENWOOD Traffic

I paid a ton for my deck and this is the traffic solution they offer? It would be fine if the app wasnt horrible. It stays on no matter what and drains battery and on top of that it sometimes doesn't connect. I'm disappointed in kenwood and inrex. If they just put a bit more effort into the app, it would be fine. As for when it works, it's good but it really does need refining.

This app is awful! It worked ok for about 3 months, then all of a sudden it just won't connect. There is a check mark but says "pending connection". The 2 years "free" is worth every penny of "free"! Very disappointed. Actually I purchased this radio specifically for this feature. Yes, very disappointed.

Upgraded phone signed in again and all it does is pending connection. Has been like this for weeks. When it was working it would connect when ever it wanted. Was random. Never worked when you needed it the most. So I just use inrex for free instead. Also why you have to pay when the subscription is over, seems pointless

Any chance we can get an update so it won't open in front of other apps at the most inconvenient time? Now I understand all the 1-star reviews... Didn't work for me either.. Error message "the account details you entered are incorrect".... What Account? Where to go to get them corrected? UPDATE:it now works but traffic data is mostly unreliable... And I hate the app opening in front of other apps whenever it feels like...

Worked fine for a few minutes, then google play services stopped working, even after clearing cache and reboot same issue, de-installed kenwood app, and google play services started working. After a couple of days I reinstalled and it is working again. Note, it is case sensitive when signing in for first name , lasname and email address. Good idea to take a screen shot when signing up or make note of it somewhere otherwise it won't connect. Also read manual for setup on your car system setup.

I suggest watching the Kenwood Traffic Powered By Inrix 2016 DNX to Android Setup YouTube video by KENWOODUSA. I also learned that the sign in process is case sensitive and it sees spaces at the end of a name, which can happen when using auto fill. Now everything with the app works great!

After having many issues with this app have now got it working by using the Sony smart connect app to automatically start the kenwood traffic app when phone connects to radio. I have found that the app will not work on my phone without running in the foreground with Sony battery saving features activated.now works well without even removing it from my pocket. Only negative it is a bit of a battery hog as it causes wakelocks even when not connected to the radio hopefully it will be sorted in a future update.

it actually worked fine for me until I've recently changed phone ( from z3 to Z5 running on Android 6.0.1) and it won't show me any traffic information anymore. The app on the phone is connecting fine and on my Kenwood DNX4150DAB Head unit is also says there is a valid inrix subscription for almost two years. Can someone please let me know if they are at least planning to work on this or not. Thanks Orlando

This app works great with my new Kenwood DNX receiver. It connect by bluetooth everytime I get in the car and within a minute or two I have very accurate traffic info integrated into my Garmin navigation software. Gas, parking, weather also come through too based on your location.

All it ever does is say pending connection makes buying the $600 kenwood receiver a big let down FIX THIS PLEASE

Frequently gets errors but you can't check because you are friving. It takes 15 minutes or longer to get the first traffic data and then it doesn't update. I won't be extending my traffic subscription it's not even worth the 2 years​ free .

Never worked for me. Came with new Kenwood deck for car. I then purchased the software separately but neither one ever worked. Samsung s5, brand new never connects. What a disappointment. Save your money.

Once account is set up, it gives an account error message when trying to connect, and offers no way to fix the issue

Crap, worked couple of times now never comnects. No settings, no diagnostics, nothing to help. Only config on 1st use. Who writes such crap?

Go to settings on your Kenwood DNX select the AV icon. Turn Automotive mirroring OFF. SELECT app ipod setup. Switch from iphone to android bluetooth. Go back turn mirroring on again. Should work now

It worked OK until my phone upgraded to android 6. Now it doesn't work at all.

installed a Kenwood DNX573S and use a Samsung S7 Edge. You have to set up the receiver to see the phone's bluetooth at the AV In settings.

Multiple phones, same story "pending connection". Nexus 6p and Samsung S7.

Never connects

Chews through battery...uninstall

Worked fine on my iphone. Does not work on S7.

Like everyone else, doesn't connect. Don't waste time reading all the other reviews, they're the same. Fix this app kenwood/Garmin

Kenwood owners need to form a class action suit over this. This service has been down over a week, yet there is no update on either company's website. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app so I could re-register, thinking my sign in info somehow got lost by Inrix, and now the app says it can't connect to Inrix. No response by either company here. These navigation receivers are too expensive for it to be acceptable for something like this to happen. These companies should be forced to respond.

This app says pending connection or disconnects and says the wrong sign info was entered. This would have gotten no stars if I could. It is junk and won't work at all. Kenwood needs to look into this, when you pay over $1700 for a stereo with navigation you expect to be able to use all of it's features. I have had this unit over a year and no improvement. WTH Kenwood a year or more of complaints and you still can't fix the issue. Maybe you need to hire some high school kids for your IT dept.

Doesn't work with LG G4 and Dnx692. They use the 2 yr. Free deal as a selling point and then give you this?? RIPOFF

I can not get this app to work or link to 572BH. It just says "Pending Connection" FOREVER. IT DOES NOT WORK. Meanwhile the "INRIX Traffic" app (the Kenwood app is "powered by Inrix") works fine with no problems. No support - no instructions. I would give 0 stars if I could.

I am having the same problem as everyone else. Galaxy S5 and DNS692. Dealer has already replaced the first the first unit because it dumped all navigation data. Kenwood traffic will not connect. For the money it is a really poor system. No traffic on the navigation side really takes away one of the key components of a gps system.

Loses connection all the time constantly calling interacts for help no 1 800 number Kenwood doesn't support it kind of a joke

Did not work at all on Galaxy S5. Wish I would have kept my old Kenwood unit instead of paying 800 for a DNX892.

Kenwood won't take responsibility, INRIX won't take responsibility. Good thing it was a free app. Too bad the GPS unit cost $1000.

It connects to my unit and then give me a sign in error. No customer support to help resolve. So aggravated!

This app doesn't work I installed twice to see if it connects. No luck they should remove this from the market.

App works. Used with 572BH. It enabled extra features on the Garmin screen and let me see weather for my area. There was even a traffic cam feature. However, when you select disconnect it still has tons of alerts for traffic that interrupted music. I found that this can be disabled by map layers under settings. So I thought it was great... Until I started noticing my phone battery was getting crushed even when it wasn't connected. Uninstalled and problem fixed. Will download for long trips. Then droppppp

I changed phones now won't work. I need help finding out what my original login is. Is there anyone who i can contact about this?

Only worked for 1 day and never able to connect again

Downloaded in the hope that the other reveiws were wrong. Oh boy, they were right. Does not connect even if your phone is conected to the internet. What a big dissapointment.

Wouldn't connect with the radio which is the kenwood DNX572BH. Could not get this app to connect under any circumstance. Waste of time someone needs to address this issue.

Connects now but consistently opens and closes on my phone causing me to exit out of whatever app I am in. Also cause Pandora to skip over Bluetooth audio because the traffic app keeps connecting and losing connection. Not a very good solution from intrex and has made me hate my Kenwood radio. Ill be moving to Alpine soon that has built in live traffic.
