En el año 1979 un grupo de jóvenes , todos de Nueva Jarilla, tras haber recibido el inicio de un curso de cerámica en el centro cultural, perteneciente a la Junta de Andalucía, tuvimos la oportunidad de introducirnos en este oficio tan antiguo y apasionante del barro. Tras cuatro años de formación compaginada con el trabajo que cada uno realizábamos, decidimos los once jóvenes constituir en el año 1983 la empresa "CERAMICA JUGUM, SDAD. COOP. AND."
