Daily Dose of Language for Android
It worked well for couple days until it keeps closing the app on me when I try to sign in. I'm trying to learn Cantonese, but I can't log in. Mandarin works. Spanish works. Cantonese? Nope. Won't play the game. Was going to pay for membership but how can I feel confident to if it's gonna restrict my ability to learn with this app. Sad face.
My app specifically says "daily dose of egyptian arabic", and IT'S NOT!! Alot of these examples are NOT how Egyptians say these common, daily sentences. 1 star for false advertising your app as specific to EA when it clearly is not.
I am a paid subscriber of Japanesepod101 and found this app very useful. It worked for me for several months till today. It crashed every time when opening it. I cleared cache and data and reinstalled, none worked. What else can be done? Update 9/18/16 without me doing anything else, the app restored itself and is working fine again. I changed my rating back to 4 stars.
I really enjoyed this app for casual language practice for the few days it actually worked. Every time I try to open it now it crashes. I don't know if it's an issue of it expecting you to purchase a subscription, but if it is, then the description for this app is very misleading... Edit: A couple of days after experiencing the crashing issues, the app began to work again as advertised. Hopefully this was just a temporary glitch. Like I said before, I think this app is great when it works!
1. Always crashes only once upon opening. 2. Rarely will repeatedly crash, being unable to open it for a day (this has only happened twice for me.) Those aside, its a very useful app and I'm glad to be able to use it every day
This helps me so much with learning more and improving my korean! wherever I am and no matter what time it is I can easily pull out my phone an continue studying ~ would definitely recommend!
Great app no crashes, only disadvantage is it doesn't let to select from what lesson to start with; I have to go back to July 2015. Everything else works and so great content
I've been a premium user for quite a while, but I wasn't listening to lessons because I wasn't ready to do them the right way - concentrate, get the PDFs, go through the steps in the checklist, etc. This app presents me with lessons out of sequence, with the clear expectation that I would listen to it and get out of it what I can quickly. So I'm actually listening to lessons and I've even actually started going through my old lessons the Right Way.
I have had this app for a while in anticipation that dutch will be implemented at some point, there is no timescales given, and it would be nice if there was, apart from 'soon'
I've enjoyed this app since it was introduced; unfortunately, it has begun to crash on opening. I've uninstalled. Perhaps a future update will fix this and I'll be able to reinstall.
Latest version can't open and the mobile version asks me for my password cuz I forgot mine. I enter it but there is not "enter" button to submit it!
I only started using it this week but I havent had any crashes so far and I love it for learning japanese daily... specially having the date in japanese really helps me memorize it!
it's great, considering it's free. however, the fact that I had to choose my level of Japanese/Korean made me expect compatible lessons, which isn't always the case. it's a bit frustrating to spend over 10 minutes of my day listening to a vocabulary list I know well, for instance
It won't even open! I can't even log into Japanese. It just keeps crashing on a Motorola G phone and a Samsung Galaxy tablet 4.
It's completely stopped working and won't open. All it does is open, show that it's about to log me in then just close.
Slow at start, needs improvements, now it doesn't open at all and hangs, uninstalling until it's fixed
Like the short quiz, but music is annoying.
I am over 40 and enjoy self study. I have numerous programs that I employ in my study of Japanese so that I am constantly engaged. I use Rosetta Stone, CL-150, numerous text books and reference material, Japanese newspapers, radio, television and this program. I thoroughly enjoy this program and it has become a staple of my daily regimen. I highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about the Japanese language and culture but is starting with little to no background on the subject.
I can't log in, the app keep crashing at the login screen. Please fix it up soon.
Not particularly thrilled about it just at the moment but I've only used a few days
I have started using this app for a week now and today it keeps closing when i try to login.I am so disappointed as it was my only resource of learning german.
If you find it difficult to learn Thai, this will definitely help you. I love this app.
Works efficiently, and rarely crashes. It really does make languages fun and easy to learn. I would recommend this app to anyone reading this.
I just got to download it, but it seems to be a pretty good app. I'm learning Japanese right now, and this app suits my needs so far.
Great! Just add a spelling test of past weeks and it would be perfect. Also maybe the option to request more or less words.
Great app for those of us who have learned Japanese, but need some practice in our busy non-immersed lives outside of Nihon.
I watch the 101 all the time. Its pretty easy to use and anytime you click or look. You learn!!!
The only thing I would want now is for it to be more interactive, like Duolingo.
I downloaded this for cantonese, and have been really entertained by the lessons. It's also been practical, since it gives me context for some of what I hear in media and family conversations.
It's a nice App. it's the basic only. To learn the language in full it's necessary upgrade, but to do that, it will change you.
I like the daily dose, great for review and expansion of my Spanish skills. I wish the app would include the reference to the original series number so I could easily get the PDF that accompanies it for premium listeners.
I was looking for an ap that gives insights to the culture as c well as increase my language. So far so good.
I feel I've learned and memorized so much more!
i only use this app to learn japanese language though.im never try other languages yet...
keep getting this error message and it won't load after recent update
A little practice goes a long way. This app helps me refresh and renew the Arabic that I learned in college. Very greatful for this helpful free app!
It's a gentle exposure to the language each day, which should be useful for learning. Would be nice if you could set the time of the notification, 8am is too early for learning!
I love that the language lessons are 'bite-sized' so I can easily do them daily! It's also very organized as well. I'm currently learning French.
I always wanted to have an app that doesn't take so much data, that teaches me simple Japanese really well. I thank this app for being Sensai.

I'm quite a fan now, I had previously tried it through the free trial week, and found it great. However at that stage I couldn't justify the expense for education expenses... Fast forward a few months and a better job and I'm finding the service great. It's not worth a whole lot of time as a free user (which I understand, they're a business) but for a premium user the usage of the podcasts, the app, the daily dose, the lesson notes... It becomes overwhelmingly useful. Good job Innovative Language Learning.
