About MaxMon remote property monitor
MaxMon is a new kind of app. Install it on a spare low-cost Android phone and leave it behind somewhere - to monitor and report on that remote property - using all the connectivity and sensors built into Android. MaxMon does a lot, so please refer to http://www.maxmon.co.uk/support/getting-started.
• Leave MaxMon at a fixed property and remotely monitor mains power (detect power outages) and unexpected motion (acceleration or vibration).
• Leave MaxMon in a vehicle or backpack and remotely track its location. Receive email or text alerts if it strays inside or outside defined geofences (NOTE: for location tracking reduce the MaxMon log interval to something like 30 seconds).
• Take remote photos using the phone's camera.
• To add monitoring of temperature, humidity, passive infra-red motion, liquid level, doors or windows, or remotely switch on and off lights, heaters or dehumidifiers, see our Quatropus products at http://www.maxmon.co.uk.

I'm using the motion sensor to monitor whether an elderly relative is active in her kitchen. This app emails me a graph twice-a-day which shows at a glance whether she's active or not. If not, I know to call her to check that all is well. Simple, but really effective.

I use this with a Quatropus accessory to monitor my vintage Mustang (humid, temprature, motion) in my lockup. Fantastic! May add remote control for heater.

Took a while to figure default log interval (10 mins???) is way too high for location tracking. Now 20s and working. Might uss over winter to vheck power on in garage. Thx

Used a prototype last winter in my glider trailer. No more worrying now about how my Ventus is surviving. I was able to monitor temperature and humidity and verify that the dehumidifier was working. When the power failed, I was able to head over and fix it before everything started dripping and going mouldy ... definitely recommend. PS. And this latest version has many more useful features.

I received my Max Mon Quatropus just one day ago and I am finding it very intuitive and powerful. I purchased it to monitor primarily the shore power connection of my boat to ensure that if it is disconnected - I know and I can take action to save my batteries. However the App allows for so much more and the more I play and experiment the more I find it can do. I would recommend it 100% - well done Max Mon
