Ham Radio Companion for Android
Would be 5 stars if you could get rid of the ads. Annoying and placement on screen is bad…easy to accidentally press on the ad. Willing to pay a small fee to get an ad free version.
This is the best logbook program for my purposes. However, the input fields for my lat/long on a QSO don't accept decimal points. Would be great if it could grab lat/long from the GPS, generate lat/long from address, and compute grid square from lat/long.
This thing absolutely sucks
App seemed decent but ad placement at top resulted in many inadvertent ad clicks. Had to uninstall due to ads interfering with usability.
The dipole calculations were almost 12" off those of every other site, including ARRL. If one thing is wrong, you can't rely on any information from site. Well, I guess I could have been wrong, but EVERY other site I checked with gave the same measurements. The same frequency was entered in all sites, including yours. Yours was the only black horse in the group. So, yes, I could have been wrong, but I wasn't.....

Easy to use and great for logging and quick reference.
This has the best log book I've found. Great app.

Great Logbook feature! I was looking for an app for my 7 inch tablet for portable or field day use (no need to lug my laptop uphill!). Needed an app that could still log basic info when wifi is not present and then to quickly load/edit contact QTH when wifi is available. Loved the field for contact end time, most contest and app logbooks don't have this entry. Only feature I can suggest is to make Band, Mode and Power entries persistent from the previous contact (or select this feature from settings) as a QRP CW operator these fields don't change often and would speed up my logbook entries.
