ingogo - Fixed Fares for Taxis for Android
I have updated my review as Ingogo have given me a refund for a mistaken journey destination. I found their customer support team helpful and other than the refund issue I found their service very good, so I will be using them again.
Buggy app and no ability to give feedback on bad drivers
Can't book without a card, can only use PayPal.
Would be good to be able to change the route if you and the driver agree.
There is a problem with the app. I am using android and it won't let me change the destination pick up address! Someone please help me.
Faulty, glitchy app. Scammed me out of $10 and refused to refund after multiple times contacting support to explain it was not my fault. They obviously don't value their customers. Will not use again. Avoid at all costs.
Have tried to use it twice in the last two days and it keeps saying 'finding cabs'. Would prefer to just see a message saying there are no cabs at the moment rather than leave me hanging and waiting. What a waste of time.
Booked a Taxi to the Sydney Airport 6 hours in advance for an early morning flight. No driver picked the job until my flight check in time was almost overdue. If isn't for UBER I had lost my flight! Sydney Taxi drivers shouldn't complain about UBER, their service is far from professional.
BEWARE OF THIS APP. TL;DR - Stick with uber. Decided to try to support the underdog and give ingogo a chance. Long story short, tried to book trip. Display was showing Finding cabs spinning wheel. Cancelled the trip before the job was accepted and yet was charged 10 AUD against my credit card? From what I read it may be an authorisation deposit but certainly it should be displayed in the application payment trip history? Instead, looking at the app history there'absolutely no signs of charges, I just discovered when checking my banking statement (Seriously?!?!) Will not use it again
Awesome app. Love the fixed fare and now that I can earn Qantas points with my trips makes it even better.
Where is the zero star option? I do not want to have to register just to get a taxi.
Great that i can now earn Qantas frequent flyer points with ingogo taxis
A decent service
I used the application on a number of occasions and found it difficult to find cabs. The app would just spin in the search mode endlessly. The system failed two very important bookings for me. One of them was supposed to take me to the airport. Luckily, I managed to catch a cab on time. This is the second time I am removing this app from my phone I and do not think I will ever use it again.
Reliable upfront payment cash can charge option guaranty pick up driver phone no sms chat easy to use 20 dollars credit for new customers what else do u need.
I was charged $10 four times and i didnt cancel a taxi. It was still searching for one and it stil l charged me money.
for some reason whenever I take ingogo(I only use it for one route to a client office) it does not take the toll roads forcing me to pay out of pocket if I take tolls. I can't seem to find the way to select my route before accepting a cab. Furthermore whenever my colleague books using her app for the route she is also taken via tolls but she does not have to preselect anything!! How do I select my route??
I want to be a driver
It's a pretty good app and its good to see your taxi arriving on time or even earlier, but not so good when you booked one taxi and two showing up and you end up having to pay both fares since the other one cancelled. I'm 100℅ sure that I only booked one
Finds a cab perhaps 20% of the time. The rest, it just runs dead. As useful as older cab apps - not very.
I prefer to use Paypal. The only payment option you must use credit card
I found out about the app from a cab receipt. When I went to download the app I was quite skeptical because of the negative reviews. A month later I finally decided to give it a go. I had to wait about 15 mins for a cab but I got my $10 off and had no issues with billing. I love the fixed fare however I do think that there should also be the option to pay the fixed fare in cash when the cab arrives (people dont always have money in the account but may be holding cash).
I thought I'd give them a try as i got $10 off first trip. I just checked my bank acct and I've been charged $12.10 and $8.49 both on the same date. I have a receipt for $8.49 at home.
That is not the message I want to get 5 minutes before departure for an international flight. Not happy. Will delete app and use a regular taxi company or UBER next time.
I have used this app twice and upon verifying charges with the bank it charges more or even twice the amount indicated in the invoice
Needed to update the expiration date on my card but got an error when I hit save. Tried to delete the card and re-add but could only enter 13 of the 16 digits.
Error occurred before I can even sign up
It is good however it shows on the map the correct location and then says you're somewhere else which can lead to overcharging.
I had a $20 promo code. When I entered it into the app it said I had only $10 credit. False advertising s probably a sign of things to come. I'll continue using uber. Cheers
The app now presumes to know the best route and fixes the fare. I'm now charged more for a trip to the airport than I used to be. The taxi ran the meter (which is required by the governing body in Victoria I'm told) and proved this to be the case.
For some unknown reason it wouldn't let me add my MasterCard. Bit ridiculous.
I was initially skeptical of a fixed fare but a friend referred me and I was given 2 lots of$10 credit for 2 trips so I gave it a go. It's reliable and easy to book plus prices are fair and I NEVER have to worry that a driver is going to rip me off! Absolutely love it and will be spreading the word. Sorry I doubted you ingogo!
Cabs still have the option to cancel and if they say you were a no show they take $10 from your account. Dispute this and they will do nothing. While it's getting close to uber it can't stop the bad habits of the drivers which is the biggest problem with Cabs
I like this app, but it would be great if there was an option to put in more than 1 destination (gets a bit awkward when the driver can't drop off another passenger that's 5 mins out of the way because it's a fixed fare). Also would be good if you could see the agreed rate after you've accepted it.
Downloaded the app registered but could only enter 12 of the credit cards digits. Can't even get something that simple right. Sticking my existing the tried and true service. One that actually works
The app charged me $16 for a booking I made to an area they don't even service. I had to make several phonecalls to find out that cabs do not service that area.
Used them for 2 years great service, now you are forced to used credit card and can no longer use cab charges. Wont be using it anymore
They have updated and now i cant use my cab charge i have to register a credit card with them.
Never again. Warning they deduct money from your credit card without your consent. Try to send query from your app it won't let you unless you tick the terms box and agree that they are always right

Made a booking the night before for a pick up to travel to the airport in the morning and the driver calls up at the pick up time to say he is too far away and will not be able to make it for 20-30 mins which would mean I would miss my flight. Asked me to cancel the booking and make another one. Cancelled the first booking, made a second booking, app says driver is 8 mins away, but I get a message from the driver that he is 30 mins away and said that if I can't wait then I will have to cancel again. Cancelled 2nd booking, ended up getting charged for both bookings. No contact from Ingogo, had to chase them up to find out why I got charged.
