About Multi List To Do | Task List

Multi List is an easy to use Checklist application that allows you to create multiple lists such as groceries, To do, tasks, notes, etc. Multi List features multiple sorting options, batch check and delete operations, theme options, and many customizations options. Multi List is one of the only To Do list applications that implements gestures. To delete an entry, simply swipe the item (left or right). Voice recognition is now included on the latest update. Multiple items can be added at a time by using the keyword "add." Example (Add apples, add bananas, add milk).

Future Goals:
Publish the application as Open Source on Github - May take a couple of months until I graduate.
--I've been busy with school and another exciting application, so I would like to open source Multi List. This way others may be able to help add more features, or use my code as a guide to create a spin off application. I am not stopping development in doing this.

Features:
--Multiple to do lists
--Multiple sorting options
--Batch Voice Recognition (Speech to Text)
--Ability to add note details
--Install to SD Card
--Many settings toggles
--Email lists to anyone!
--ICS Action bar for all devices!
--Holo theme

Disclaimer: No widget, No Google Tasks Sync.
If you want these features, this app is not for you. Please do not give a low rating for a "missing" feature that is not intended to be added. This application is designed to be simple and lightweight, and these features are not an immediate priority to add. I am an individual developer in my senior year of college and I do not have the time to add everything to the application (I wish I did!). At the same, I am offering this application completely free of charge and advertisements.

Any suggestions will be considered by emailing tylerjroach@gmail.com.

Note: Permissions are now needed in order to use the backup/restore feature.
Note: Internet permissions are now needed for voice recognition. Nothing else!

I just downloaded this app today and there are a few things that I would suggest that you incorporate. First off the sorting feature could include self sorting/organizing. I'm a mommy and I am using your app to plan my day to day schedule. I would like to be able to keep my tasks in the order of my choice. I also noticed that when I edit a list it moves to the bottom of the list and out of the order I would like. In addition, there is no option for times to be added to the task list.

I have used this app for Several years-and found it quite easy to use. My only problem is that when I upgraded my phone the only way to transfer the data is through a memory card, which neither phone has capacity for . Unless there is another way to do this I will have to transfer each entry by hand or at-least voice to text a time consuming endeavor.

I had many appointments set up in this app and the other day I opened it up and all was lost. This was the 2nd time in a 3 month period. I contacted the developer and he never replied. When I told him I was leaving a review I got a reply. Here is what he said. "There should not be any customer service expected. I don't work for free." I don't recommend using this app if you are looking for stability and reliability. I have HTC U11 and it is the newest phone with no issued. I can't say much for this developer who has a known bug and replies to a customer like that!

Z70%
by Z####:

This app is the best of the list making apps I have tried. It allows multiple lists. The checked off tasks stay with the original list rather than going into a common pool like most other list makers.

3 stars, I'm not giving 5 stars just because of a detail, I can't rearrange the list and that's fundamental for me! I use big lists that I need to be changing and rearranging frequently. I can't be all the time making new lists just because I need to add or rearrange a couple of lines in the middle of the list... ????

Been using for some time now and am very happy. I like updates as much as anyone else but please don't complicate the app and slow it down. Great job!

D70%

I am VERRY big on privacy, so since this doesn't connect to a server like Google's reminders is something that makes me feel like my reminders aren't being read. Could you please focus on privacy related things (have them as settings maybe) like built in encryption? If you could do this it would only make my most favorite reminder app even better :) thanks

Just what I needed. A simple way to make and organize lists. I am worried that there is no backup except to your own SD card. Let's hope my phone doesn't get lost or destroyed. UPDATE: And it happened. My phone was stolen. I know you can email separate lists. Easy solution--allow me to email ALL lists to myself at the same time. Just sayin

I have searched and installed and uninstalled and Google-searched to find some sort of list/note book/shopping app that would alphabetize, but NOTHING! I couldn't believe how hard it's been to find an app with a simple "sort" option! Thank you, I'm a happy customer already! Lol

J70%
by J####:

This app does everything I could ask for. I maintain multiple lists which an option enables me to keep in alphabetical order. It is very simple and easy to use. I also like that it doesn't use up data by linking to other things. This also eliminates the need for a cumbersome signup process asking for my email address, etc.

N70%
by N####:

Simple checklist, but maybe too simple. 2 suggestions. #1--after entering an item, the cursor disappears for the next entry and you have to touch the entry line before entering the next item. Not very efficient. #2--there should be an option where after an item is checked off that it can be deleted from the list.

There are times when I just need a list, not the pointless fancy features on most other apps have that rarely get used. This is like a simple handwritten list that only takes a minute or two to write out and is easy to follow. Cons: 1) Not enough directions. The brief tutorial doesn't cover everything. It only needs a little extra added, though. 2) The voice recognition list maker doesn't work well, especially when saying multiple items.

N70%
by N####:

Love it. Just wish there was a way to BACKUP the Lists when other things (like Contacts & Calendars & SMS) are automatically backed up. I'm SOL if LISTS ever get lost or corrupted!

I70%
by I####:

This is so far the best list app I have found that does not require the user to permanently forfeit his control over one's entire phone and the total loss of all of one's privacy. People who willingly give up such for a program such as that are foolish indeed.

S70%
by S####:

I want the keyboard to activate when I tap the + sign and remain active when I click next. It's annoying and inefficient to have to tap the text field every time.

Y70%
by Y####:

I've downloaded and tried way too many checklist apps, but hit gold when I found this one. Its easy to use and allows me to make multiple lists and keep everything straight.

N70%
by N####:

Easy to use. User Friendly. Love it and viewing it keeps me on track, much better than handwritten on paper or in a lined booklet. ENDS Duplication. Task Lists I create are specific, to the point.

N70%
by N####:

Disappointed I created a grocery list of over 20 items. I them elected to check mark those items I needed today at the store. I could ONLY check from the top down the list in succesion, not check items at random. Useless as a grocery list, unless you create a new one each time you go of items you want that day, this app will not work for you. S7 Android Marshmellow.

N70%
by N####:

I'm annoyed because there is no way to delete LIST title, only the entries below it. I almost unloaded it but I do like it better than others I've checked out...

U70%
by U####:

Does anyone know if text in the list can be moves around? Example: let's say initially, I wanted to study from 2-4 but later learned I needed to work at 3.pm. Can I insert text between 2-4 without messing up the rest of my schedule?

O70%
by O####:

It didn't want permissions and it simply makes lists. Understands every single word I say. I love it. If you're looking for an app to make lists without all the superfluous mess the others have this is it.

N70%
by N####:

Building a list is slow and inefficient. But thank for trying.

N70%
by N####:

This app is incredibly helpful. The only thing I don't like is you can't move an item from one list to another. Hopefully that will be in the next update.

M70%
by M####:

I love it's ease of use and voice activated feature. The only issue I have is that it doesn't sync with multiple devices. This would make it a priceless app, if it did this

N70%
by N####:

Good: no permissions. Good for privacy. Dark theme. Bad: no drag and drop to reorder. No subtasks. Need all lists showing tasks on same page option.

T70%
by T####:

Simple yet effective. Exactly what I wanted. Just one request- "striking out" feature, with a choice between that and "check" in settings. Awesome app even without that though.

N70%
by N####:

Love this app, it is a simple little app for making simple to do lists. Unlike some others this app does not require that you log in which I rather like. Though one feature I would love to see it the ability to drag and drop list titles or list items so that I can order them in order of importance to me, rather than the usual alphabetical etc. Thank for this app!

Q70%
by Q####:

Great: efficient, simple, low permissions. I would give it 5* if it had the option to reasign items from one list to another. I find it very helpful to move things easily from ToDo to Done, etc. Though ideally I would find the exact webOS to-do/tasks app replicated exactly for Android...

L70%
by L####:

It would be the best except that I cannot manually order the lists. I can manually order the list items, but not the lists themselves, and it's annoying that I can't. Otherwise, it's very good.

V70%
by V####:

This is exactly what I was looking for: simple, doesn't ask for access to my private data, doesn't have obnoxious ads or useless features.

Q70%
by Q####:

As someone with ASD, this is exactly what I need to keep track of my life. Small app size barely makes a dent in my device storage.

G70%
by G####:

Would be better if it had a copy and paste feature between list. And a way to rearrange items like hold and move. But it's still a good app! Simple to use!! Make those changes and it would be perfect!!!!!!

Q70%
by Q####:

It's so simple to use. I only wish I could send it via text to some one. But all and all a great app makes my shopping go so much smother. Not frustrating like some other list apps. And I've tied a lot. This is by far my favorite.

Q70%
by Q####:

This app is small, simple, does everything I want it to do, and is not burdened with unwanted extras to get in my way. I hope the upgrade will not ruin it with change.

A70%
by A####:

Especially since I found instructions to delete a list title once I no longer needed it. Not in 'help' or 'tutorial' but in the initial description of the app.

Q70%
by Q####:

Easy to use, great for ocd list freaks like me haha

Q70%
by Q####:

You can make multiple lists. I wonder if it syncs with a computer. ...

Q70%
by Q####:

I was looking for an app that creates like a title and there is a subtitle in it. Like enumerating all the specific things and this app gave me what i want

Q70%
by Q####:

Most "to-do" or checklist apps try to incorporate way too many features that you neither need nor want. This does one thing - handle checklists - and does is extremely well.

Q70%
by Q####:

I love making lists. And I have tried at least ten different apps for making them (probably more) and this is the absolute best. It has all the right features without having too many. I think the only thing that I would like to see improved is the options for how to enter items. But please don't change too much. This app is seriously perfect and I'm so glad I found it. It needs way more credit than it is getting.
