InfoQ Videos (Beta)

Feature request: please add possibility to cast the video (eg to Chromecast). I can contribute to android app, if there's not enough dev capacity on your side.

App is fine. Could you please add a feature to remember the track(where I left) of the video?

Every time the display rotates (landscape -> portrait) it resets to 0:00 :(

Recommendations​: Allow videos to be played in the background and allow audio only to get streamed. Please do not re-buffer the video if I change from portrait to landscape and vice versa Very powerful app. Love how videos buffer really fast, and how the layout changes according to the device's position. The video seeker is superb: I can go to any part of the video in a blazing fast way.

It is (or was) a decent app allowing to view InfoQ presentation offline - at least how I used it. But suddenly last week it stopped to show any new presentations. Started to work again, thanks for fixing. Upgrading rating to 4 as it is really missing search functionality.

I'm updating my review to recognize the improvements made recently. The app is actually fairly usable now, but the lack of any kind of search is still a big nuisance. Chromecast support would be a welcome addition too.

There is no way to search for a presentation by its title. No text search capability. The app can be much better. Even if we can bookmarl some presentations and come bacm to them. It very basic app for long long time.

Very good for a beta... a couple of recommendations: The ability to pause stop the app and go back to where I stopped when I reopen. It doesn't pause when I get a call. It reloads when I flip/rotate the screen. Better control over the timeline like soundcloud and youtube.

It's good that you can download videos for offline viewing, but it's just that. No search, slow, limits on downloading, it could be so much more... Update: you can't watch downloaded episodes if you are offline. What's the point?

Useless without search. Or some kind of favorites list shared between the app and browser account.

Um ótimo aplicativo, mas que precisa de diversas melhorias, tais como : Inserir um mecanismo de pesquisa e uma forma mais simples de fazer o download. No mais o aplicativo é sensacional, adoro ele e uso frequentemente para me atualizar. Vai ganhar 3 estrelas devido a isso, senão daria mais.

Missing search feature. Useless app.

If there is a capability to search, I can't find it. And without it, I can't find the presentation I installed this to watch.

would be great if it had a search function and I could download videos to my sd card. Sadly that's not the case and there were no updates for quite a while now. Seems this app has been abandoned?

The lack of a search is definitely bad, but by now it's not even loading properly anymore. "No more presentations were found" message is shown as soon as I open the app.

Re-reads presentation list all the time, no search. Can't specify internal vs external storage as the download target.

I'd give this app 4 stars but now it has no video content at all, making it useless.

The app is pretty useless without the ability to search. Deleted it.

No search, filtering by conference only, reloads presentation list every time, and worse of all, has a download limit of 7 presentations in 7 days?!

Flaky, unstable. "Loading presentations..." ...nothing.

If I could cast it I might be using it. Instead I use my computer to cast the browser tab. Close but miss it

Please implement a search function. If you had it I would use it much more. Without search it is almost impossible to find the content I want to watch.

Having the infoQ videos on the go, is certainly nice. But as others have said, search functionality is missing. And we should be able to specify the download directory. It just goes to my device memory, I can't choose the SD card.

I'm on 1.3.2 (71), and don't see the search button, which makes the app almost useless. :-(
